So now we have come to the conclusion that the only legit QB in the 2021 class was Trevor Lawrence. What a let down this QB class is

Sorry but Lawrence is a still a huge failure relative to his expectations as a "generational QB". He's not even close to being the next Peyton Manning but more like the next Kirk Cousins. He ain't winning s**t in the NFL. His desire to be great is too weak as evidenced by his quotes that he would be fine if he no longer had football.

But hey he should be proud of himself for coming back to beat the Colts that have some low level RB playing QB for them. that is definitely a huge accomplishment LMFAO.

Ok

Welp...Fields is removing all doubt about the 49ers passing on him.

So did Rodgers.

post a video, I want to see and laugh.

heres the fields one lol...

ok....that was bad....

It is like the entire team went half speed because they had no idea how to deal with so many defenders in coverage....
Bears about to draft a qb or get desperate because they're dying to win and pay Cousins

Pretty obvious why he wasn't in the discussion even. Dude does not trust his eyes at all, continues to hold on to the ball forever and has to see receivers be wide open before he'll let it rip.

If you can force him to stay in the pocket and have to go through his progressions consistently, he falls apart.

Ive alwas maintained and this is why I didn't think he was a system fit for us. He does not see the field well at all and go through progressions. He stares down at his guys. No doubt he has the physical tools (arm and mobility/speed) but until he reads the field well he will be an inconsistent QB and produce an inconsistent offense highly dependent on big plays instead of moving down the field
Yea Fields isn't the answer
Watched a good chunk of the game, Fields didn't seem to ever have much time to throw. That said, how can a team with that much firepower on offense, despite the blocking, still struggle to score?

Mooney, Moore, and Claypool are all good receivers.

Only thing I can think of is the blocking really was that bad or he wasn't seeing the field.

that pick 6 was awful he didn't take his eyes of the WR ven when he was triple covered
It looks like Fields still isn't getting it. He has decent receivers but he still fails to see the open man quickly enough. That's maybe the most important thing for an NFL QB.

Watching the Niners game yesterday was a good example. Purdy only had to make 2 difficult throws during the game. The rest were about him seeing the open man and getting the ball out before the window closed. He's very good at that. Trying to make the big play into a tight window all the time isn't the recipe for success. Sometimes you have to but the majority of the plays should be the safer option that nets yardage.

I liked Fields, at least over Lance or Mac, but they are def pooching his development. Nagy was garbage and it looks like his protection is still very suspect after the first game.

I don't get investing so much in a young QB who will need work, but these teams almost never draft o-line for them.
