Most of us including Kyle knew that Lance was green and would need at least a year on the field to develop. As green as he is, he may need 3 years to reach his full potential.

If he doesn't work then it's a big setback for the team but they saw enough raw talent to take a chance. Fortunes have been made by people that took a chance.

Best ability is availability one has it the other doesn't.

So you're writing Trey off because a lineman fell on his ankle and broke a bone?

No but Trey was gonna get hurt regardless of that happening with his running style. You can crap on Fields for plenty of s**t but he hasn't missed a single game accept for when he had Covid. That's cause he who you said runs to much even though it's completely in line with Lamar Jackson but Fields knows how to protect himself. He slides or gets out of bounds. Lance has gotten hurt on average in 2 games as a starter.l both years. That's not encouraging at all.

Ehh.. I disagree with that. Fields has taken some MONSTER hits... I'm actually shocked he hasn't been injured. He's just now learning to slide.

Fields runs 4.4. Lance 4.85 in game speed at least. Looks so slow. At least Fields can get the first downs when the play breaks down running. Trey had 2 guys roll up on his ankle. I don't know how that is preventable, Other than just not running him. It's not like he took some head on collision and broke his collarbone or something. It was just a freak accident.

I am still not sure whether or not he would have had the mental makeup to be the franchise QB of this organization. It's a whole different kind of pressure from being the QB of a rebuilding Bears team to being the QB of this organization that wants to win now and has 5 SB's and has 2 of the all-time great QB's that he would have to live up to. In that regard I think Trey is built to withstand that kind of pressure more than Fields can.

Well I already said before that I think Kyle needs to eliminate the designed runs. Especially now that they will have CMC. No reason at all for Trey to run the ball unless he has to. Just run on scrambling plays.
