Love this quote. The reality is, you can say the right thing for the wring reason. There were critiques that had no basis in film study and on the field performance and others that did.
We gonna keep pretending he was wrong, even tho he was right? Oh boyyy..
He said TL can't run well (true), slow to throw (true), needs to really set himself to deliver the football (true) kinda hopeless on offense (true, look at JTO and his turndowns) when receivers are open, and the ball is not coming out, that's hopeless in my book.. why bother even running a great route, if you don't get the ball over and over when doing so.. DJ Moore knows this by now, he's open every play, and no football, that's a big problem. Moore feels hopeless, so do CHI fans, coaches, you name it.
Missing the point, per usual.

I never once said Trey played good or wasnt ONE of the reasons we lost. Not one time did I do that.
I'm no trey lover, and I fault him a lot for the loss, but he wasn't the only reason we lost. Deebo fumbled. The rain/field became rougher as the game went on. Etc there are many reasons
personally, i fault Lance more than any other reason but that's just my opinion and not a fact (I give/fault QBs more than any other position because of their importance and leadership expectations).
The reality of it is, we lost as a team against another team - we eventually gave up broken coverages to Pettis (of all people lol..). It just is what it is - it's just shocking in hindsight is all. This and the Denver game where jimmy blew cost is the 1 seed, tough pill to swallow but seems like we are avoiding these mistakes this year, hopefully we win tonight!
Fields just looks way worse than I expected and idk if it's coaching or him, or a combo.

They're making excuses for him. Yes, the Bears are a s**tty organization, but if Fields is constantly missing wide open receivers, that's on him. JT O'Sullivan breaks it down really well in his week 1 video.

He has a week 2 vid up as well, if you have 90 mins to spare

Wouldn't want either one of them, but I would still prefer Trey as I did during that year's draft. I think he has a better foundation to develop into a successful passer in the league. In his very limited time playing I think he at least occasionally flashed some positive ability to play the position between the ears.

It was worth it. Great breakdowns and also pretty entertaining from a comedy standpoint.

Lol I'd still take Fields over Lance but that's not saying much. As of now the only QBs worth a damn out of that top QB class is Lawrence and Mac.
Shesh

This is awful. It's like he's completely confused and doesn't know how to progress through reads. He had SO much time and there were so many other places to run from and he just ran up the gut. Lol his field vision seems awful.
i can't believe we lost to him.. lol makes me sick
We didn't Trey did
Are we still making believe that TL is good SWH? I'd take Fields 10 days out of 10 over Lance. Fields at least can do something high level.
Show me one single post where I have ever said that Lance is good. Just one. I'll wait.
Why are you saying make it stop, like TL was some asset week 1 vs CHI, he wasn't, he struggled hard, and was a big reason we lost, you still can't see it
I didnt say Trey "was some asset." You constantly misinterpret posts (whether intentionally or not), misrepresent what is said, and flat out make things up.
There are a plethora of reasons why we lost that game to the Bears. That poster making it seem like it was all Trey (and you essentially agreeing with him), shows your bias and nothing more.
You really have to ask me when using that word. After all El Guapo loves a plethora of piñata's.
As far as Lance goes in comparison to Fields, he is more accurate and I believe can at least get through more than one read. It's no big deal at this point but that's just the way it is, Fields is garbage when it comes to passing

I feel like Trey sees the field better than Lance, Trey just wasn't trusting himself and his inexperience - making his timing a mess. Can't be thinking out there too much. I've said it before, I prefer fields but in hindsight - looks like it was damned if you and damned if you don't

I definitely would agree Trey sees the field better… though it's a small sample.
I was pretty confident Fields was a bust coming out. Didn't feel great about Trey either but the biggest issue I had with Trey was it was so obvious a project of that magnitude didn't fit our team's timeline. Fields was just as big a project as a passer and had more glaring issues IMO.
