even worse: four minutes left in third quarter the score went up to 28-7. Embarrassing giving away a game with a 21 point lead at almost the end of the 3rd quarter.
How can you be this bad and this good at the same time? I don't get Prime and I don't often go to a sports bar for teams I don't care about. So I didn't see the game last night. I did however see 1 big highlight. Looks like the DB jumped the route, missed by about 1 inch for an interception house call. The play got through and the Bears WR took it to the endzone. So that is at least 1 of his TD's and about 80 of his yards or however many it exactly was.

I didn't see the game. Was it a lucky game? He looked better? Washington isn't that good? What are we looking at here?

One of my fav plays was an early third down, I was hopeful the Bears wouldn't throw for the sticks, push it downfield, which they did, big play
Fields can do a couple things pretty well, one is run the football, two is throw downfield
he's not a Purdy who's gonna put it on guys relentlessly with anticipation in the short to intermediate..

play to his strengths. if the D is up, hit em downfield with Moore, safeties off, pound the run game, and JF plays a big role there, even handing off, it's a lot of read action
maybe it was too soon to write his obit, like folks were doing, I see you folks, let us see if they rejoin the thread after this game

That's interesting. Some good points. Yeah he's not a completely useless athlete. Just not always a great processor. Or a great accurate thrower with consistency.
if you simply project his current stats forward to 17 games, this is his pace

62%
3886 pass yds
37 pass TDs

They were calling plays that didn't need a lot of time to develop . He was getting the ball out in less than 3 seconds.

why it took several games to figure out that this was needed with that horrible O line is a cause for concern .

Well maybe if they continue to play like this they aren't as bad as we thought. Maybe Fields too. They made the adjustments. We will see how the future grows.
