He's not.

And I'm not saying that just as an Ohio State fan. Heck, now we have Stroud who seems to have ended the "curse", hopefully at the NFL level.

And I know he had one or two bad fumbles last night.

But reading a tweet from a guy named Doug Clawson, the average length per attempt for Fields last night was 2.7 yards, almost half of his passes were at or behind the line of scrimmage, they threw 12 screen passes, etc.

That certainly, contrary to what some believe, isn't because Fields can't throw the football.

I'm fairly convinced this Bears coaching staff has literally no clue what they're doing either when it comes to the development of Justin Fields or just in general and would lose a Pop Warner game 40-0 unless they just had markedly better players than the other team.

When he hit Moore deep several times , they were darts

That's not that impressive. 2/1 int ratio is not good neither is not even having 3k passing yards over a full season.

185 yards a game.

For a young QB who has had next to nothing around him and comically bad coaching and game plans it isn't bad. Niners fans would have jumped for joy if Alex Smith would have went on a similar 17 game stretch at that point in his career, minus the fumbles.

I was expecting a lot worse with a Bottom 5 O-Line .

Some pretty interesting numbers for the OL when Bagent was in vs Fields.

Until there's major improvement in Fields' game it's always going to look like his OL's are terrible.

Yah when you are slot to process or are unwilling to take the open shots it can reflect unfairly on the OL.

He needs to move to RB. That's where he actually has some skill.

Bagent had the lowest air yards per attempt of any QB all season .

dink and dunk script for him.
I have a friend that for some reason is a Bears fan. He was just about 4 or 5 when the last time the Bears were good in 1984-85 so he doesn't really remember them that well. I was talking to him about the Bears chances of really improving after next year. They will likely have the #1 overall pick. They also have their own #1 which will be around 5 or 6. They could trade Fields and probably get a 2nd rounder for him and trade back with their own 1st and get another 1st or a first and a couple 2nds. They also have their 3rd and 2 -4th rounders. Combined with their cap space they could really make a huge jump next season. Plus they'll have a weak schedule based on where they finish. They'll play the NFC west so the Niners will probably be their toughest game.

at this point Ohio. It's obvious that you are completely biased and wrong. It's OK to admit he's not a good quarterback. Stop making excuses for him. He has more than enough around him. We have all seen the tape of him holding the ball too long, not willing to hit wide open receivers. We have also seen his inaccuracy and indecisiveness. we have also seen him choke and throw so many interceptions when the game is on the line. Please stop. It's embarrassing
called it from the beginning, he's a complete bust. Should not even be in the NFL. Worst record as a starting QB than even Jamarcus Russell. Backup Bagent has as many wins as this loser does this year and Bagent only played 4 games. Front office just tanking by starting him for the highest possible draft pick (prolly pissed Dobbs threw 4 ints last game).

Film doesn't lie either. Go watch some of the videos reviewing games by JT on Fields. He says what the f**k like 50 times LMFAO. Fields wasn't some newbie rookie starting this season either, he had 30+ starts and still couldn't read a f**king defense after 3 years. There is zero percent a dude that slow with processing can lead a team to win a SB.
This guy turned into hot ass garbage .
