Early on I did say that. After more of watching him and breaking down the film he's a fumble machine. Plays good off schedule. Not as great on schedule as claimed. Not Mahomes. Not even close.

Get out of here. You're not breaking down film. It's nothing but clown takes coming from you.

Excuses, excuses. He's a big BABY MOMAS BOY.

Mahomes > Caleb Williams.

This is the extent or an SD take. Really in depth analysis here! Just keep posting that emoji waiting for someone to insert.

I do break down the film...

So you think Caleb Williams is better than Mahomes. Ok...

Ok. My bad. My post was a little mean. I'm just going to lay off this guy. I hate people who make fun of special needs kids. I feel like that is what I'm doing here. You do you SD.

Good for you. Special needs kids need a break.

Damn... I actually feel a little bad for the dude.

His ops to be a starter aren't over like they are for mac (outside of injury). Steelers are a top notch organization with an excellent coach. It's a great spot for him to just work on becoming a better qb. Learn from a vet. He will get a chance again.
The Steelers aren't exactly known for developing young QBs and Fields has alot of issues to work on and Tomlins pretty overrated in my opinion.

I never got the overrated take. No one thinks he's the best coach in the league. No one is taking him over Reid, Belichek, McVay, or Shanahan. Even if you wanna go to the no SB appearance since 2010 season or no playoff wins, that basically puts him behind the top tier coaches, yet ahead of the rest who may have won a game but flamed out or don't have long enough of a track record to register.

With that said, I wouldn't bet on either player working out. The Steelers generally draft and develop well, but QB isn't one of those positions. They would be better off taking a huge swing (if it's worth it to them) at a top 10 QB in the next draft.
The 49ers got a 4th rounder for Lance even though he had barely played. The Bears get a 6th rounder next year for a guy that started for 3 seasons. One more example of why the Bears have one SB in their history.

The Steelers are taking very little risk with having a $4 M QB room .

There is still a pretty decent level of "unknown" when it comes to Trey Lance. There isnt that level of unknown for Justin Fields. Everyone knows Fields sucks.
Oh Brother this guy stinks!

Lol. They went head to head. CHI won, with a much crappier worst in NFL roster. Fields was named NFL top 100. He owns an NFL record for most rush yds single game I believe, for QB. The part of the convo you never got, was why would Shanny punt on his 3 ones investment if there is an 'unknown'? Why would he punt Trey to Dallas of all teams? He wouldn't. Unless TL flat out no holds barred, isn't it (which is FYI, reality).

Agree with the 2nd part of the post.

That said, still would rather give Lance a go than Fields if I was forced to have either.

Looks like a David Lombardi graph lol otherwise Justin Fields isn't that good. I see Jayden Daniels doing similar things in the league

You didnt know that going into the draft. In fairness to him he couldnt have been put into a worse position. If he had gone to Baltimore , for example, and sat and learned behind Lamar i think he would have a chance to be darn good. I admit that i wanted him over Lance though. I just never saw anything special with Trey.

Trey Lance hasn't played enough for the league to definitively decide that he has no future. There's a mystery box bonus there.

I do think that the Bears would have gotten a lot more back had they cut ties with Fields a year ago.

Yet Shanny did definitively decide his SF future and sent him packing to a rival no less
speaks volumes to me, Shanny knows what Lance is all about by now
