There isn't too much unknown with Fields. He's an explosive athlete with limited QB skills. He ain't improving much at this point.

failed in everyones eyes, when the team asks him to do x, he says no thank you, without the thank you
so that doesn't help him on the market, they were never gonna have him shagging kicks
they basically asked him if he's a team player, and he said no

There's no reason to not try to utilize his athleticism outside of the QB position. He's one of the most explosive runners on the field in any given game. KR/PR, WR, gadget QB… all at least worth exploring on some level.

It's not rare to have an athletic backup QB contribute in other ways besides sitting on the sidelines.
It's very rare to see undrafted talent with his athleticism, especially proven on some level in actual games. What you're more likely to find is lower round QB's who can play the QB position as effectively as Fields… which is to say not very well. There's a reason he was traded for peanuts.
