Justin Fields couldn't even beat off a washed Russell Wilson and most of yall wanted to keep him over a generational prospect pic.twitter.com/PegepyM96C

#Steelers QB Russell Wilson is dealing with calf tightness and was limited in practice today after reporting the issue himself. HC Mike Tomlin said Wilson will be evaluated further tomorrow... pic.twitter.com/RKUt5qkrZ8

QB Russell Wilson, who missed Week 1 with calf tightness, is feeling better. And he'll be monitored. But no revenge game against the #Broncos this weekend. pic.twitter.com/iF7gu2sXnB
#Steelers QB Justin Fields posted the highest PFF passing grade (99.4) on deep attempts in Week 1.

Threw three excellent balls with touch + accuracy to George Pickens (although only two counted).
The deep ball added an element to this offense that had been lacking under center pic.twitter.com/tHR7poKyHz

You have to love these guys who can't ever admit that they were wrong or that a guy can improve or thrive in a new situation. Guys like Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith, Vinny Testaverde, Steve Young, and maybe even Sam Darnold and even Alex Smith all in one way or another shed bust labels to be productive quarterbacks. People decided Fields sucked almost right away and will give Caleb Williams every excuse in the world and say give it time, he's generational.

Ill say this, Fields has his issues but he's in a far better situation in Pittsburgh. Also for two straight years, the Steelers were left for dead and once again Tomlin has them playing well without an elite QB.

He might have his issues, but today I saw people like Chase Daniel and Dan Orlovsky, former quarterbacks in this league, say he was always capable of playing this well. People get lazy man. On here and elsewhere. It becomes easy to just accept what everyone else says. Even the Bears. They showed improvement and Fields showed improvement, even if just a little. Instead of building on that they chose to do a reset at the most important position on the field because Williams is supposedly generational. Williams put up a lot of yards today and maybe will start to improve. Or not. Time will tell.
