Both no calls or offsetting, you can clearly see Sweat's head getting turned, just like the jersey tug.

The refs should watch the field for infractions and other refs throwing flags to nullify theirs .... even if they didn't see one to nullify it
What I don't get is why 49ers fans are mad that the team whose fans LITERALLY CALLED FOR OUR PLAYERS TO BE INJURED on their boards lost the Super Bowl on a ticky-tack call. If anything, you should be REJOICING at the karma being swiftly delivered to that trash fan base.

This. Eff word Philly.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it's pretty obvious to me......this isn't about getting revenge on fan bases (I couldn't care less if Eagles fans wanted every Niner player/fan dead....and lets be clear about this....EVERY fan base has its share of idiots that cheer injuries. Phi fans may 'lead the pack', but that is irrelevant). I want the best product on the field, but the NFL is interested pretty much solely on $$$. It's almost become too big, and it's going out of its way to do what it can to create narratives and storylines. The Super Bowl for the first 58 minutes was one of the better SB games I've seen in recent years, but that one ticky-tack call that literally decided an NFL champion completely derailed that game IMO, and it just reaffirmed my belief that the sport on the field has deteriorated.

With their decades of rules in favour of the offense, to making it a QB-centric sport that it is today, and the desire to have storylines and narratives come through, the sport that the NFL is, has fallen substantially in the last 40 years IMO. The NFL 'wanted' Mahomes to get another SB ring, and they got just that....and I get it. He's the face of the league, so he's gonna get the calls. You can call penalties on every single play, but to call that b******t? I honestly don't see how anyone can't look at it from a sporting point of view, and not come away disappointed.

Going into that game, I didn't have any rooting interest for/against either team. I wanted the best game possible with no injuries, no refs interfering, no idiotic turnovers that decidely tip the balance, etc. etc. Knowing how this league is run, and what they want, I said the same thing to my friends before the SB as I did in 2019. The Niners/Eagles were the better team, but the Chiefs will get the Super Bowl. I was dissapointed but not surprised, because I was right.

The call was the right call. The only reasonable arguments is that the refs should have let the foul slide because of the timing. Like they did to Nick Bosa in 2019.

This is exactly what we've been saying lol. You don't call THAT penalty at that time. In the biggest moments, you need something like the Saints Rams play to throw a flag. It has to be CLEAR that the play was altered to just go ahead and call the season like that.

It was clear holding. If its a clear penalty and it affected the play, call it.

Only the refs know the rules, they are also the only ones who can change the rules during the game under the guise of "Judgement Call".

"Judgement calls" is the best thing ever created for Corporate Sponsors, Casinos, and online gambling sites. Billions of dollars at stake.

Just imagine how much money Progressive lost on the Baker Mayfield marketing campaign (living at the stadium).

State Farm chose the right guy and paid more for their outcome LOL.

The call was made by corporate sponsors

Just like 2mph over is clear speeding, does it REALLY need to be enforced? When I watch that play in real time, I can't even tell Bradberrys hand closes for .5 seconds unless I get the right camera angles. The play was not affected at all imho. The Chiefs line got beat on that play and they essentially got bailed out. That's not what fans should want

This. People that advocate for ticky tack at the biggest moments are literally advocating for a worse product.

Just think, if there were a league of equal talent that didn't strip their audience of the biggest moments over a quick swipe at a jersey, it would be more popular than the NFL. This refball crap is going to get old quick. These people want the rules of a game enforced more strictly than the law lol. It's a game. It's entertainment. Ticky tack calls to end games creates a worse product for literally everybody but the team that benefits
I knew KC was gunna win, Eagles, wasn't their year. Still glad they lost.

So you agree with Chiefs fans that the holding on Nick Bosa that wasn't called was a good no-call?

That evidence further proves my point....and it was even moreso because that was Mahomes' first Super Bowl. Again....Mahomes was made to be the NFL's face of the league, and they definitely want to promote their superstar. Besides Mahomes, you also had the Andy Reid angle - the loveable HC that hadn't won a Super Bowl in 20 years. The Chiefs had all the narratives and storylines going for them.....the Niners had....what?

Secondly, that critical Bosa hold happened around mid-way through the 4th period...it didn't literally decide the entire Super Bowl game as the Phi corner's hold did. There were also many calls/non-calls that went against SF in that Super Bowl.

I want penalties called. And that's a clear penalty.

You either call and enforce all penalties or you disregard anything which doesn't actually interfere with the play itself. You have to be consistent and go totally one way or the other. Personally I think there are way too many penalties.

Too many rules. When even the commentators aren't sure what the correct call is, maybe the rule book needs simplifying.
