Yeah, I think it is a mistake as well.

Primarily because he fumbled the ball like 9 or 10 times this year, and his primary utility on the offense is he is a threat to run. He has less arm then Purdy, and as he ages he is going to have to turn into a Drew Brees like passer to really be worth top qb money.

He might have roughly the worth of his next contract in a QB starved NFL, but there is no way I would pay a soon to be aging Hurts after that.

If I was the Eagles, I would structure that contract in some sort of way that it had an easy bail out for the team at year 2 or 3. There was so much talent on that team, I would want to know how often Hurts can carry a team that is not half loaded with pro-bowlers, and I would also want to make sure the league will not catch up with him like they have other running system QBs (thinking Kappernick) before I went in 100% honest on a top 5 QB long term contract.

The split-second the defender grabbed and pulled on Juju's jersey, that flag was coming out.

Pathetic. I feel so fortunate to have grown up at a time when I could actually see teams competing with each other without playing to some script which will attract the most viewers. If one team was way better than the other they won 37 to 3. That's just how it was.. No b******* no ridiculous calls no game managing by the refs. Those days are gone and I'm very sad

TThe referee can reconsider the call. They could wave off the flag if they felt that it was not sufficient contact. Also the ball was way overthrown so there was no chance to catch it anyway. Completely pathetic the rest should never intrude on a game the way they did at that moment.
