Ah, we have the fall guy.....

SSeems pretty eager to take responsibility. I don't think I've ever seen a player on the losing side try to convince everryone that the other team really is better. Lol. Gets more Ridiculous by the minute.

Exactly, somebody was in his ear. I'm not admitting anything. lol.

Putin?

For the third time, since you're apparently not understanding what I'm saying

THE POSITION OF THE BALL HAS NO BEARING ON DEFENSIVE HOLDING!!!!

That only applies to pass interference.

I put it in all caps, so maybe you'll see it this time.

If you're going to b***h about the rules, at least understand them.

Lol, yeah there IS that.

I understand it was an insignifocant play that shouldn't have been called. Refs can always pick up a flag. For you to insist that they can't do that is misleading and wrong. Officiating is a discretionary activity that is always subject to review by the referees on the field. It's true in every sport and American football as well

He also has nothing but amazing things to say about the 49ers, Kyle and his time here.

No one has ever said the refs can't pick up the flag.

But why would they? Bradberry held.

Usain Bolt doesn't get to that ball.

The penalty occurred when JJSS was coming out of his break, well before the ball was even thrown. Mahomes could've not thrown the ball at all - could've been sacked, and it'd still be a penalty. That's how holding penalties work.

TThat play happens at half a dozen times in any game and guess routinely ignored especially if the ball is thrown on the other side of the field. F*** the rule where the ball placement doesn't matter that's not how it works in practice
I loved seeing the Eagles lose. Their despicable fanbase deserved it.
Glad those Eagles lost. Now they get stuck overpaying their QB and watching that great team having to be broken up due to that.

Or, maybe the the defensive player shouldn't grab and yank on an offensive players uniform to the point where the TV cameras can clearly see it. If the TV camera's can see it, the refs are going to see it, and they're taught to pull that flag out if the jersey is pulled.

Per the NFL rulebook, it was holding when the defensive player yanked on the WR's jersey. What's there to pick up? This wasn't an incidental contact play where two players tripped over their feet and went to the ground, and the ref threw a flag for PI. It doesn't matter if the play was insignificant or not, it was holding.

What you're basically saying is that the NFL refs should determine the situation when making calls, whether or not they're correct. Think about how bad that could be. Just because it's the Super Bowl, it shouldn't change what the rules are.

Just like in our game against the Ravens, when Carey Williams wasn't ejected for shoving an official (which is an automatic ejection, the intent doesn't matter). Because it was the Super Bowl, he wasn't ejected, any other game, he would have been.

If you're going to let the situation determine the rules, you might as well not have them.

I think you're ignoring the yank/redirection. There's a lot of plays where defenders will hold onto a jersey to keep pace or to orient themselves; but if an official sees a player be yanked, they'll throw a flag. It's particularly noticeable when they are coming out of a break, like this one.

Now, the official has to see it. If the official doesn't see it, then no flag. And I'm sure there's plenty of plays where officials don't see it, which is why defenders may still risk it if they get beat, like Bradberry did.
