"He knows he messed up on that call."

I can't recall Kyle stating a disagreement on a play call made by one of asst. coaches in the past. This does not bode well for Wilkes IMO,

Our corners and linebackers look the same to me, besides the fact we definitely miss Azeez defending the edges, Oren Burks has played well overall as a replacement.
The problem is the scheme and play calling. We're putting a lot more stress on our corners and giving QBs quick and easy reads. This is not how we've been successful in the past.

Zones will help with that. Can't swarm ball carriers when everyone is rushing and/or has their back turned to the play. We see Warner and Greenlaw still in the picture but that's because they are exceptionally fast for the position.
Right. Made my post without reading yours. I don't consider Huf and Gipson as good open field tacklers. I consider Warner and Greenlaw as two of the best. Playing a zone dominant scheme where Huf and Gipson are in charge of not giving up explosives while forcing the QB to throw into Warner and Greenlaw's area is a sound tactic that worked for Saleh/Ryans.
I agree and noticed that Huf was going with the big shoulder hit and not wrapping up. He's done this go WRs and RBs and some have bounced off.
Regarding Dre, the dude is the only guy willing to get dirty. During that screen play do anyone notice him trying to go low and clean out the there pulling lineman? Her didn't care if he would be trampled, I wish our other players had that same intensity. Bosa lately has been stood up and stopped his bull rushes. I don't see anymore hand fighting and swim moves with him.

The drop off on the pass rush is just puzzling. No one is getting pressure.

Because that call was beyond inexcusable, everyone knew that was a horrific call

This dude might be the most disappointing coordinator hire since Jim Hostler.

What makes it terrible is no one can explain the benefit of it. Worse case scenario we play back they catch long ball, clock runs out. Or hell possibly a long FG attempt. Like said inexcusably for a guy that gets paid at the highest level to make that decision.

I just saw that and thought exactly the same thing. Even when he said "I have no problem with that call", and then clarifying he meant zero blitz in general - but not in that situation, to make sure there was NO misunderstanding his quote.
