Hopefully Lynch makes a bold move gets a new DC.

Hard to think that happens mid season
Unfortunately, this.

The 2012 Ravens fired their OC in early December after falling to 9-4.

They let Jim Caldwell (their QB coach at the time) take his place and they went on to win the Super Bowl (against us )

It's rare. But it does happen.

But who would they make DC from in house?

Johnny Holland, the linebackers coach would be the next logical promotion.

Koucerek has said he doesn't want it.

I don't know if we can do it in house which is bad since we would need a whole new defense with a outside d coordinator. We need to do it however this is week it should be done. Wilks is that bad that it should be done now.
You guys really think that KS is gonna admit mistake and fire Wilks already?
Well.... big companies are normally risk adverse.

So you ask what is the worst case scenario

It is hard to think this much talent on defense could look much worse on defense.

bottom line, the defense is badly under performing, for the talent it has. If Wilks was hol ding this together missing all kinds of core players....well that would be something, but that is not what is happening....they are giving up drive after drive after drive...healthy and often well rested.

If Jed is on board, and is cool paying Wilks money for not being here....then shake it up and reboot for a second half run.
Is he fired now?
Only way Wilks gets fired is that Kyle has to be overidden by the Owner (Jed York)...Kyle will not do it and Lynch can`t do it because his boss see Kyle won`t let him.
It`s a dirty shame that such a talented defense looks like their playing in the wizzard of Oz.

Yep, Bullocks should be DC

I agree, and no I don't think he will this season, if anything, maybe he relegates some of the game-planning, or even play calling away from Wilkes behind the scenes, but they ride this out with Wilkes. They already admitted a big mistake with Lance, can't see him compounding that with firing Wilkes. Optics are important to this FO

Only if he believes that keeping Wilks is waving the white flag on the season as a whole. I think it's unlikely but not impossible considering how bad the defense has looked.
