After watching the Bengals film review.. Man, there was so much wrong beyond just scheme. There were so many inexcusable mental mistakes by guys who you'd never expect to perform like that. Guys freelancing and not even playing within basic fundamental concepts. Other guys simply were outplayed from a talent standpoint.

Warner overpursued gaps multiple times.

Hargrave got blown off the ball and turned outside way too much.

AA overpursued inside too much and isn't holding up well against doubleteams.

Oliver was Oliver.. Burnt to ashes.

Lenoir blew contain a ton outside. So did Bosa.

Greenlaw looked like he could barely move. Was useless in coverage.

Felt like refs reached for the flag almost any time Ward touched a receiver. Cincy took advantage.

Hufanga.. Bad angles..

Obviously, outside of that, the play calling was horrific too.

Bottom line, everyone, including our DC was terrible. He's not off the hook by a long shot. No excuse for us looking this unprepared.

Defensive Coordinator is responsible for all of those things. Scheme can also put people in wrong spots at the wrong time and lead to a lot of the things you are describing.

So many guys freelancing means they don't respect Wilks.
Just need to make the move and fire Shanahan. Make Wilks the interim HC, we have the talent and Wilks will make a great HC
