And to think a football show yesterday said he's being considered for head coaching jobs this next cycle. 🙄

Underperformed? They're 2nd in points allowed. Not bad for underperforming.

The defense wasn't terrible. The ravens stared like 4/5 drives on our side of the field and were held to field goals. They did very well over all imo, but got Gassed as the game went on.

That being said they need a tackling refresher. Did you guys catch the Aikman comment on how NOBODY wraps up anymore lol

I think it's obvious at this point Armstead is the key to the defensive line. He's blows up single and beats double teams. And eats up two blockers on runs etc. he's the catalyst for everything and everyone else being able to do what they need to do. We have nobody behind him who can even come close to his style but his position in the scheme demands it.

That Aikman comment iirc was on a BAL DB trying to crack Deebo and bounced off, cuz he's Deebo. Marlon Humphrey possibly.
But your point stands for Brown he put on a how not to do it clinic. Likely straight up embarrassed him.

the O failed us tonight more so than anything

That was the fourth time this season the offense scored a measly 17 points. Unacceptable for all the talent we have on this team

Biggest concern with the defense, Is that they have way too many missed tackles.

If I am correct, we haven't been able to surpass the 20 point barrier, in all games TW has missed, or was injured.
so even with KS and 2 MVP candidates we can't even reach 20 effing pts.

we average 17.5 without TW, that's worse than the Arizona Cardinals
27th in football if I am correct, would be our ppg rank with no TW, it's mind blowing

I pray he gets a job somewhere. Absolutely horrible D coordinator

This. The defense has All Pros at every level, the reigning DPOY, more $ invested than any other team, and couldn't generate TOs or get a stop when we really needed it. Hiring him rather than promoting another assistant was a mistake.
We have always had problems w/mobile QBs.

Russell gave us fits when he was in Seattle, Murry ran it up last week and Jackson was outstanding last night.

Wilks needs to find out what D has done well vs Ravens and study it.

IMO, Wilks has done an excellent job this season.

Hopefully, he can find a way to slow down Lamar.

How is he going to make it so that Lamar looks like the MVP this game? Will it be the lack of tackling, lack of stopping his running, lack of pressure due to no scheme, and/or blitzing at the wrong time and in the wrong way to give up big plays after big plays?

Most likely all of the above

Damn looks like I was 100% correct this game.

You didn't mention turnovers though which was 90% the reason why we lost (the rest due to penalties) that allowed Lamar to look like an MVP without really doing much.
My biggest problem is lack of QB pressure...Lamar sat back there enjoying a cup of coffee most of the game. When you have guys like Hargrave, Gregory, Bosa, etc... I expect more sacks or even pressure at the very least..i don't if this is schemes, bad DLine coaching, or what, but it is not working.

Excellent job ?! Baltimore created FIVE turnovers vs the best offense in the league. Wilks could only muster 2 sacks with a star studded d-line. We suck on defense. The only reason they look good is because our offense is blowing team out, forcing them to change their game plan. Then Wilks goes into pseudo-prevent and our D looks "great". Anytime it's been a close game (Cleveland, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Baltimore) our D looked avg at best.

the unit is underachieving, but some of you guys are happy because we kept Arizona to only 29 points but on the scoresheet we blew them out

Some of these spin jobs, like we turned it over 5 times, therefore, the problem is Wilks. You gotta really spin hard to get to that conclusion.
