In the AFC title game, Patrick Mahomes boldly exclaimed to the Ravens defense (and safety Kyle Hamilton in particular) that Kelce was not going to be guarded.

Being that Kelce had 116 yards on 11 catches and the touchdown, we do think Mahomes kind of had a point, at least for this game.

The Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl thanks in large part to Mahomes' and Kelce's electric chemistry; those two really are a sight to behold.

And the Niners are going to the SB thanks in large part to the Purdy, CMC, Aiyuk, Kittle, and Deebo chemistry. I'll take SF's offense seven days a week and twice on Sunday.
In the 1994 NFC Championship game, the Niners surprised the Cowboys by putting their best CB (Deion Sanders) on Alvin Harper. It flummoxed the Cowboys such that they trailed 21-0 in the 1st quarter. I propose that Charvarius Ward defend Travis Kelce. He is probably the only one good enough and big enough to slow Kelce. This will also allow Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw to concentrate more on Pacheco.
Great idea Paul.

We gotta come up with something so Travis Kelce and Rasheed Rice don't beat us.

Maye Mahomes throw to someone else.

I don't buy this, there was one glaring drop, on 3rd down, and the pass was on the money, Reynolds dropped it. The 4th down play would have been a lil tricky to catch, another miss to Reynolds. He could have caught it, but it wouldn't have been an easy catch. There was another 4th down, where the broadcast said Wilks scheme won the down.

Their drive chart in the 2nd half was:

downs (maybe Reynolds should have had it)
1 play FF
3 and out (clear drop)
downs (4th qtr, and Wilks took Ben Johnson's lunch money)
TD (they needed 11 plays to score, including us blowing up their run play at the goalline, so they had to burn their TO, meaning they can't kick deep)

that's 7 pts, all in more or less garbage time

Wilks made a good playcall on 4th down. His one bright spot.

Aaron Glenn coached circles around Wilks. If he had our talent the game isn't close.

Andy Reid vs Wilks is the biggest mismatch of the whole SB

Aaron Glenn isn't even going against Wilks lol..

This 😂

All this scheming. You know Wilks is gonna come out on soft zone. After Mahomes and Travis carve us up, he'll switch to man and have Greenlaw or Warner cover Kelce. Which will part the Red Sea and Mahomes will have the entire middle of the field to scramble on….

you guys give Wilks too much credit. He was one half away from being tossed to the wolves, now we're banking on him coming up with a defensive scheme that will stop the best QB in the game. Laughable
