For sure. If it were week 15 I'd be feeling a little nervous leading into the playoffs. As it is though, way too early to be talking about firing when previous DC's also had early teething issues.

im very confused why people are feeling nervous

we have allowed the least offensive TD in NFL and top 2 in yards allowed/play

Scrub teams hanging around the entire first half when the game should already be over. Even today it was 16-21 going into the fourth with purdy literally playing a perfect game.

Purdy has played exceptionally well and most of these games are still games all the way until the fourth quarter.

Imagine when he throws a pick or god forbid two picks and has a bad game.

Or look at how shanny can't stop using mcaffrey because games are still games all the way until the fourth.

Running QBs that can make explosive plays are going to be trouble. The fact that we can't seem to manifest sacks spells trouble... we haven't even played anyone good yet.

This same Cardinals team smashed the Cowboys last week. And they were in the game in their other 2 losses. I think the league underrated the Cardinals.

Also have you seen the struggles of the other top teams? Philly went to overtime with Washington. Miami gave up 48 to Buffalo. Josh Allen has had some horrible games. Mahommes probably loses if against a better offense (can't totally blame Zach for that one).

Its like other teams weaknesses are ignored but only ours will come back to bite us.

Great point.

Does he succ?

He wasn't my first choice but the way he first talked about his defense like it was gonna be an attacking one. I expected a lot more than what he's shown in the last three games. He's gotta make some changes and adjustments.

Im split on it. On one hand, I see how badly Thomas and Lenoir have gotten beat. If we blitzed more or just played more man, how many plays until we are burned?

But then I think last year, DeMeco was able to make due with Lenoir and the D line wasn't as good pass rushing as a unit, even with DPOY Bosa.

My take- Wilks has got to stop playing it scared and let his D line eat and get some hits on these QBs. We know everyone is going to get the ball out quick. Those guys are winning their rushes too much to not have more hits and sacks.

It's the first season of Wilks as DC.
Opponents have scored 58 points in 4 games so far this season, 14,5 points per game.
It was 102 points for DeMeco in his first season.
They're fine so far.
How is it we only rush 4 every play and still can't cover anyone?

Yep. And we get beat the same way as Stafford beat us. Timing route to the side line. Guarantee 7 yard gain. Our inside run d crumbled too.

Great point. Those first four games - opposing teams hit 30+ points twice. during Demec's tenure.

This.
The Cards get some credit. They've been ambushing other teams. They have potency with Dobbs.
Dre was nicked during that long drive. The D rose up and stopped them when it mattered and Purdy et al played keep-away after that.
The Niners D dominated them for most of the first half.
Wilks is fine
(I wonder if the hyper-critical lacked hugs as children.)

Yup. No doubt he'll make some adjustments as the season progresses too.
The Niners D is getting pressure on the QBs but for some reason they aren't getting the sacks I expected. I would like to see a few more blitzes to confuse the O line.
can't believe Dobbs got into our heads for so long yesterday
Can't blitz a running qb or they're getting some east rush yards
