If Bellichik was our HC, would Wilks still have a job tomorrow.?

It wasn't a hail mary, or equivalent
it was a fluke TD, i really thought Ward had INT number 2

Our pass defense is a complete joke. Our run defense is not much better. Imagine playing against Mahomes with this. Wow. 600 yards? 700 yards?

not wanting to give up the big play,
we were top 3 in points and yards coming in

you look at the big play, it was Ward having an INT go right thru him, that's not scheme, that's a pick, he just didn't make the play

Ward should have never been in that position because we shouldn't have been in 0 man coverage. We should of been dropping 8

Ward was in great position, to pick the ball off, just make the play there to be made

Ward should have played it safe and knock it away but in no way can you excuse Wilks egregious call there saying Ward was in position. That was a flat out dangerous call for no reason. As some one said it was high risk low reward.

I'd say a fall down the elevator shaft

There is simply no defense for that call. NONE

Bad when the announcers are like WTF Wilks
.a joke
This team has been built around defense since before Shanahan got here, so to have someone this inept calling plays is affecting the whole of the team. They started off great due to talent and a lack of understanding by opposing teams as to Wilks tendencies, but it's clear now that he has tendencies that can easily be exploited, with zero concept of making adjustments.

That said as the original post claimed it was indeed a terrible, terrible position to put your team in. No reason there with just seconds on the clock. A stop ends the half. An all out blitz there with nothing on the back end is ill advised. Almost insane given the situation. Only bad things can happen.

he can't win with you guys, play it safe and play off, and he's soft
get aggressive and he's reckless,
if Ward simply does his job and picks the ball instead of it going thru him, no one is talking about that play, like no one is talking about the earlier Ward INT
welp. so who's gonna watch the tape and breakdowns
Probably zero chance at an inseason move to replace him, so I guess another year passes by as the window closes.

People are defending Wilks because of point totals. 22 pts is not that much, but it is the long drives and the way the defense gets gashed this year that is bad. The Vikings had the ball FOREVER this game. Even if they ended with 10 pts, the TOP is so bad. The Browns only got 19 pts, did the D play good? Did they play good against the cardinals only giving up 16 pts? How about the Rams or Giants? This D needs to fix itself

Who's defending Wilks? Are you just making it up for your arguments sake?

That's 100% scheme. That pass should've never been attempted if that 1 time you're suppose to call a soft coverage and you didn't. They had like 15 sec on the clock with no TO. On our 40.
