My point is you can't say it's all on scheme, it's also on execution. Ward failed to execute catching a ball he had on a platter. No clue what Gip is doing on that play either. He effed it up also. It's a combination.

Are you sure Gipson made the wrong play there. Look at the coverage from behind the play.

i would say so, there is no reason to jump an intermediate route, if you want to slam Wilks on not knowing the situation, where is the situational knowledge from the player also, you keep it in front, you don't let Addison get beyond you with seconds remaining in the half

I think it was just as good of a play from Addison than it was a bad play from Ward. Kudos to Addison on the heady play. I blame more the scheme since Ward should never been in that position, he still made a good move on the ball, but Addison made a better move and got rewarded.

All those stats happened despite Wilks. It's only because we have players like Dre, Fred that make outstanding contributions.

Our eyes don't lie: we're not sacking the QB despite having one of the highest paid DLs and adding Hargrave who looks like he's an upgrade.

The defensive calls are bad and they must be predictable because other teams are competing 3rd and long. Before last night the Vikings were 35% on 3rd down. Last night almost 80%. It's not just luck, it's the coaches putting the players in the wrong position to succeed.

That 3rd down play before the half with 16 seconds and leaving no one deep was absolute stupidity. Kyle and Lynch need to be having a talk with Wilks today and get his calls straight. He's also tipping a predictable coverage on 3rd downs and they need to disguise or change things up.

Whitner said last night if our front 4 isn't getting to the QB, then you blitz and don't get home you dont keep doing it and leaving your weak CBs on one on one coverage. You cover them up and get coverage sacks. When was the last time we did that? Wilks lacks patience and is predictable.

on the bold here, what do you want Wilks to do, sack the QBs himself, guys have to win up front, it's that simple,
guys have to win in coverage, so the QB holds the ball
I am seeing bad plays out of Gip 2 weeks in a row at bad moments, and Huf I suspect hasn't been right all year with the knee issue

the 2nd one, it was more bad from Ward than good on Addison, Ward had that ball, he flubbed it and that allowed Addison to get an easy score, it was fluky. Vikings got lucky I think even a Vikings fan would tell you, as far as Wards position, he was in position to pick the ball off!
not a bad position to be in, I think Gip should have had more depth, perhaps Cousins doesn't even throw it, if Gip doesn't bite up on the short stuff,

Look at Warner here. Did he blow coverage and we expecting him to cover a WR 1 on 1 in this situation?

Just ridiculously bad.

Totally forgot about the bengals yeah I think they make it. Jets I just don't trust Wilson and even tho I don't trust Pickett and their coordinator they just have way better players on offense in general than the Jets to help out an average to bad qb.

if you look at Huf he doesn't blitz, nor does he cover anything
Bosa gonna end up with 6 sacks this year in this scheme.

The play was so bad all around. Even Huf is on the line but I have no idea what he's doing. He looks like he's supposed to blitz but ends spying Cousins?!?
Damn we really need to revert back to Saleh/Demico defense schemes.

Only our talent kept them to only 22 points when they were moving at will.
Man we should've just promoted Johnny Holland or someone from within. This scheme is not working out for this team. I was patient with Wilks but this team is ready now and he is hindering us.

That play pisses me off. When they lined up with a pressure look, I thought it was funny. "Lol why you showing like you're going to blitz?" Then they did.

So he's covering a WR 1 on 1 with nobody over the top starting from the LOS?
