He was just taking it easy because the competition is over and he wont have to play for the rest of the year so why risk injury

I guess the same with Allen too cause he looked worse than Sam and trey combined.

Trey was traded simply because he was going to become a distraction. Sam Darnold is still hot garbage.

Darnold is not hot garbage.
But you're right. I think they saw Purdy as the guy, at least this season, and they didn't want the noise they would have if Lance was the back-up.
So they wanted to trade Lance regardless of what would happen in Training Camp.
At least with Darnold, there's no distraction. There's not a lot of people at this point that will want Darnold on the field.
I feel like Darnold is a one and done for the Niners. Hope he proves me wrong but 4,5 millions + incentives for every game played, that's a great deal for Darnold.
Not so much for the Niners.

To me it's like Darnold was holding in a fart while competing with Trey.

Now that Trey was gone and he had nobody of worth behind him he could relax and unload the stink upon us.

Brandon Allen came in and showed us more good stuff proving why we need Brock to be iron man and never miss a snap.

You will never convince me that the QB2 competition was legit.
