WELL, he did not apply to be our backup QB... he was the HC's hand picked and also reminded him of Steve Young..

BUT, he may just be the MOST TALENTED QB Shanny had since Matty..

Hes the next Steve Young. Hes mobile and has a great arm

KS wanted this guy for years, will Shanny play him, at some point?

Nope. Unless Brock gets hurt, which in essence ends our season…

My prediction: Kyle will pull the plug after they lose to the Jaguars. Or maybe even at halftime

Think it's bad now? Wait till we come out of the bye and lose to the jags.
we are going into our bye floundering and they are going into theirs one of the hottest if not THEE hottest teams in the league.
So we have to travel to their house with kyles lame record of losing out of the bye.
Doesnt exactly instill confidence in us getting a win. Four losses in a row would be BRUTAL……..

Sam Darnold's release is like 10x quicker than Purdy's

That won't mean much If he's Inaccurate/making bad decisions and throwing Interceptions.

it'll mean the mistake is coming out 10x faster
Sam I Am a turnover machine is not taking Brock out of the lineup. Sam I AM holding a clipboard on the sideline is in no danger of losing his current job…

If Brock keeps imitating Darnold I think that might happen. 4 picks in two games, 5 in three, is unacceptable. I won't lie that I'm not intrigued by Darnold's physical gifts. But thus far what has held me in check is Brock consistently making the right read and not making dumb mistakes. If he loses that, I'll jump on team "Big Arm and Mobility which also comes with a side of Accuracy" and hope the turnover days were due to him learning the position and not having good coaching and/or teammates.

Brock needs to play better or Darnold is going to start looking like a good option.

It's no more stupid to wonder if Darnold has turned a corner than it is to wonder if Brock's early momentum is not a reflection of his final form as a QB. Brock has simply not played well for three consecutive games. If it becomes four, the stupid people will be the ones arguing that there's no chance Darnold could do better.

We are seeing with BP, the turnovers when having to throw late when trailing. It's symptomatic of game flow

Why should a good QB suddenly suck when he has to pass and everyone knows it? If he's who most people here thinks he is, he ought to come alive when the team needs him to win the game, not start sucking. He's showed a lot of promise, but these three games have cast doubt. He has a bye week to get his head straight, and then decide if he wants to be a great QB or someone who's gonna lose his job to Sam Fing Darnold.

Being behind one score doesn't excuse bonehead decisions. Brock has to learn to be smarter with the ball and not press like he has been. It will hopefully come with time.
