QB Sam Darnold is a Viking

Good pick up. Adding depth with a 3rd stringer who will not crap the bed when called on to play is an awesome luxury. Sweet. In our system he will put up great numbers. May even be better than others that recently were let go. I like it.

Why is the qb room not gonna work? Correct Jimmy ward did a great job for us.

How is that a fact lol? We went undefeated with Purdy. You have no clue what would've happened if Purdy started instead of Jimmy. So it's an opinion, not a fact.

I am certain he was referring to jimmy ward. That's the only Jimmy that fits the statement.

+You totally miss the point. If purdy started week 1, he'd be injured by week 8. Hence our need for jimmy g to come off the bench and perform like a PROFESSIONAL qb not a SCRUB and go 6-2 to bring us to the promised land. That is why we needed jimmy g last year.

This year he gone. and we got the guy who has mastered his post-interception mannerisms.

Prior to this trade, we had a still inexperienced QB as our only QB on the roster that would be available to OTAs and TC, perhaps even to start the regular season. Hence, we needed someone who could at least look like they could run the offense until Purdy gets healthy, whenever that might be. Darnold is AT LEAST that.

CMC comes to SF and then Steve Wilks. With roughly two dozen FA QBs available, Sam Darnold comes from Carolina to SF. hmmmm Coincidence? I think not.

It's pretty clear. His former mates, now teammates told the story that Sam can be a solid QB in this setting. I trust McCaffrey and Wilks.

needed some experience in the room, dude has potential, all the talent of a top pick, etc.

I just he's done with all those injuries.

I think it's a good backup and depth guy for the QB room. With Brock Purdy coming off injury. Trey Lance unknown. An extra arm for training camp and pre season at least. It's a good pick up.
