I thought with the level of talent on offense, Darnold would be able to thrive in KS system, but even in just the few times we have seen him on the field he has been erratic.

Hopefully we never need him, but it would be nice to be able to rely on him if we did.

Damaged goods. If he had to play I think after 4-5 games he would be much improved in the offense which is why I think he would be a fine backup. Brock is an outlier brother, aka unicorn. Lets enjoy it while we can.

Agree. Brock is probably by far the most underpaid player in the league right now. He is in a rookie deal and can't negotiate a new deal. I don't think you can avoid paying a quality backup QB more money than Brock.

We needed a competent #2. Darnold is capable of being that guy.

Almost hope he bombs out on Sunday and hurts his market so we can bring him back at similar price or cheaper (without incentives)
