Solomon Thomas at 3 anyone.
He didn't free fall at all. Most grades thought the Chiefs reached big. Obviously people completely missed on the evaluation for many teams.
I believe QB is the hardest position to evaluate.
I personally think that evaluation is overrated.. why not just trust what you see all year long in college?
here, for example, this is how I view the upcoming QBs and how I have them on my order list..
CALEB WILLIAMS - U need to draft 1st because even if he busts, there was more reason to draft him that NOT to draft him. (FIRST ROUND)
MICHAEL PENIX - He may not be ready in year one, but by year 3, he'll show some greatness.. (MID 1ST)
JJ McCARTHY - Don't expect him to be a savior, but he will be THAT in the future.. his football IQ reminds me of Rivers or Brees (LATE 1ST)
DRAKE MAYE - he's not spectacular game in and game out, he can get that job done... Eli is who this kid reminds me of (EARLY 2ND)
BO NIX - He's a game manager who happens to be very athletic.. I would not be surprise if the Rams take this kid to be their future (2nd ROUND)
JAYDEN DANIELS - he heads the top of my list of the MOST OVERRATED PLAYER in this draft.. NOT sure why all that HOOPLA..
SPENCER RATTLER - had Purdy NOT became what he is thus far, I see Shanny drafting Rattler late 2nd
JOE MILTON III - low football IQ is what drops him... I expect those Knee Biting Lions to move up early 3rd and draft this kid
JORDAN TRAVIS OR TUA II - It'll be nice to draft one of this guys late 5th and be our 3rd stringer..
Historically about 1 to 3 of the above listed will be starters in 5-7 years.
I submit you are being way over optimistic and hence why so many teams strike out.
