Honestly in two games, I've seen nothing special. And he's a guy that has been in the NFL since 2018.
I feel like they want to trade Lance because they don't want to develop him. And they wanted a back-up that would not threat Purdy for the starting job.
It's quite funny that some guys like Papa think that Darnold could be the starter. Well whatever, I'm not the coach.

this is kinda the posts we had in here. greg papa is a fan for some reason.. yeah cuz he watches the games. sam can move well and he has an absolute cannon. he's going thru progressions and playing the position well. good setup for him in minny and he is capitalizing. if you watch sam and see nothing special, you aren't watching. he has very good traits.

Remember when people laughed at Kyle when he said Darnold was the best thrower he has ever seen? Doesn't sound as funny now.

yeah a lot of ppl who don't know what they are talking about, and exposing their ignorance. i don't imagine they will que up for crow buffet but it's served, nonetheless..

Oh please. No one I knew was excited for Sam Darnold as our backup. Not one F'ing Niner fan. Me included. I've seen that guy throw INT's and choke his way through every team he's been with. And when he played for us he looked like the Sam Darnold everyone thought he was.

O'Connell is the reason Sam is doing what he's doing. He's finally playing for a real coach.

just like he knew Purdy was "the man" the day we drafted him right?

if Kyle wasn't forced to play Purdy because of injuries Purdy would have never played. Kyle doesn't know his a$$ from a good QB.

That dime Darnold threw to nailor……..no way Purdy throws that TD. And darnold has been throwing those types of passes all season.

It's takes more than just having a top flight receiving corp. you gotta be able to get the ball to them.
