it will be very interesting to see what Minnesota does this offseason. Do they make a big money offer? Does Darnold take what Minny offers to stay on a team that perfectly suits him or does he go after the bag? Say the raiders offered him $55-60 million a year. That would be so hard to turn down but he would get his teeth kicked in on a weekly basis and the organization is a dumpster fire. Man, gonna be interesting………

If he wins a Super Bowl with the Vikes, he'll go after the money....even the Raiders situation .

If he doesn't win the Super Bowl, then maybe the Vikes offer him a nice two year deal...while JJ McCarthy develops. So then he'll have to decide, stick with this team that suits him..or take a chance with another team offering a longer deal.

If he wasn't traumatized by his original team, the Jets, that would have also been a nice place for him to drop in with a team that has good players. But neither the Jets, nor Sam, would want to take the chance of that reunion.

minny should re up. JJ McC is young. sitting on the bench served Rodgers and Love well, among others. they are in a good position at QB.
If I was Darnold I would go to a team that offers me the most guaranteed money that isn't a super crazy franchise lol.... I don't think hes had a big contract yet so I'd be trying to set up my future first and hes reasonable to ask for that with how hes been playing this year.

MN will franchise tag him whether he wins the SB or not.
What would be wild is if we offered the big money deal to him instead of Purdy.
Darnold being Darnold, once the heat is on he crumbles.

Guy was shook early on & never recovered. He has never had to play in the type of game that had that much on the line last night. It was more or less a playoff game & he looked lost all game long

if you watch his games all season.. he's starts out like that every game. Luckily for them they got the best WR and played 11 teams who didn't make the playoffs

He looked absolutely terrified every time the camera zoomed in on him.

He's had a couple bad games as a Viking but which QB hasnt had a bad game? I'm not judging him off that one bad game so lets see if he can do decent in the playoffs. He can make a lot of money next week if he does good. Probably going to make a lot of money regardless.

Our team would be a laughing stock if we did that.
I believe that if Darnold has a s**t game in the playoffs and they bow out early, he will get franchise tagged and wont get a big contract from the Vikings.

The first game of his career where he had expectations, he s**t the bed. If he does it again in the playoffs, I could see the Vikings going back to their original plan with JJ.

I don't think they can franchise tag him . He is a free agent and isn't on his rookie contract

so JJ won't start until 2.5/3 season with being on the vikings.. idk if you can extend Darnold if he can't win these playoffs
