Cool can bypass wasting draft capital on a dime a dozen position.

Per @PFF, new 49ers OL Matt Pryor had 241 pass-blocking snaps last season for the Colts. He allowed no sacks and eight pressures, which is no too shabby.

Im curious what positions aren't a dime a dozen to you.
And why are OT's paid so much if they are a dime a dozen?

Yeah, seems to have had an up and down career. Was pretty good a couple years ago. Seems like good depth, maybe "Moore."
Glad that nobody cares about oline size. I'm way off base once again.

I think that's wrong. Maybe a couple of years ago.

Why?? They just re-signed McKivitz, who IMO will start. Signed Feliciano who can play all interior positions and has a good amount of starts under his belt. Signed Matt Pryor who can fill in at Guard and Right Tackle who also has a ton of starting experience under his belt.
How would a mid to late round pick improve on that?? Lets also not forget Zakelj and Jaylon Moore. Nah I see them going defense and replenishing all the depth they loss on the D-line and Safety.

It was a joke. NC frequently says DTs are a 10a12 so I poke the bear when it comes to o line

They are definitely drafting a RB with one of their 3rd round picks now.

I hope we get a power running back that doesn't really fit the scheme of the offense.

Agreed! He's setting this up to be best player available draft. While also allowing us to trade up if need be. I was against trading up a week or so ago but he's gotten some depth in areas where I wouldn't be mad at a trade up. Though still wouldn't be my choice

Error message: Those are the numbers from 2021. In 2022, Pryor took 388 pass-blocking snaps and allowed 6 sacks and 31 pressures, which is kinda shabby.

McGlinchey has scarred me for life. I don't like linemen who are tall

LMAO… for real though. Keandre Miller and Israel Abanikanda are both scheme fits and as good or better than Elijah Mitchell when healthy.
