I didn't get Sunday ticket last year after having it every year on DirecTV. I received every 49er game on local channels or on ESPN except for 2 games which I was able to see at a local restaurant/bar. The games are shown on NFL network during the week most of the time. I'm just tired of getting ripped off by these money grubbing networks.
I thought NFL+ might be an option until I fond out tht you can only view those games on your MOBILE devices. I like to watch football on a big screen where I can actually see the action.
Sunday ticket isn't all that bad if you can find a couple of guys to go in with and split the cost.
+ Show all quotes
This might be the way . With Direct TV , there was only one user at a time. I believe YouTube allows 4 .
There is a way to watch NFL+ on your TV, but you have to download the app on your smart tv.
I read their website and it sounds like the only games you can watch live on your TV even if you have the app are games that are shown in your local market. Other games are shown after the games are over. It makes sense because there's no way YouTube would be paying all that money for the Sunday Ticket if they knew the NFL was going to offer the games for way less money. The whole idea is that they have exclusive rights. I could see a major lawsuit if they were doing that.
NFL+? When I had it in 2022 when I had DirecTV & lost my local FOX right before the KC game, CMC's first game, I was able to watch that, as it was local, but I was also able to watch all primetime games, so even if you, theoretically, didn't want to sub to Peacock, Netflix, & Prime, they would show MNF, TNF, SNF games, & the NFL Network exclusive games, maybe it's changed since then.
The rest of the games you can only, obviously, watch on NFL Sunday Ticket on either YouTubeTV or YouTube Primetime Channels, but that's $100 more than if you have YTTV, which is an upgrade over DTV ever since I got rid of them for YTTV.
I think with these games going to the likes of Netflix, Peacock, & Prime, the NFL figures or thinks most people already subscribe to those, it's annoying, but the NFL has pretty much went all Streaming now, if you want all the games, if you just want local & primetime you need Cable, Satellite, etc...
NFLST wise on YouTubeTV, I think they allow unlimited streams at home, and 2 on the go, but those unlimited streams have to be in the same like either town, or actual home, like your address and/or ISP, not sure if you can split the cost of the Ticket so two people can watch it, unless of course you & the other person are roommates.
