Lol at everyone b***hing about the prices of Sunday ticket. Do you guys even know what it costs to go to one of these damn games?? They just raised ticket prices again for next season. It's absolutely ludicrous.

That's why I said in my post above that the NFL is full of itself. They have been #1 in the ratings for so long that they think they can charge whatever they want and people will pay. So far they're right buy it's getting close to being way too much.

Most fans salaries are barely increasing while players and coaches are jumping like crazy. Top QBs will soon be making $60-$70 million per year. Top coaches will be making $15 million? Maybe more. Roger Goodell is currently making $30 million per year and is asking for an increase to $50 million plus a private jet for the rest of his life. What world do these people live in? What does he do other than negotiate a contract every couple years and walk out on stage during the draft so people can boo him. He probably has negotiators doing the real work.

Exactly. It's crazy. It's already one of the top 5 or so most expensive tickets in the NFL. It's definitely getting old watching things go this way. Bring back the days of the stick!

Yea how much the players are now getting paid tho is nothing more than a diversion from what the true issues are.

Increasing contracts are not at all related. The contracts only reflect revenue sharing,...not greed. I can assure you that the owners are not working earnestly to come up with a way to pay future QBs more money.

Yup, me too. I have been getting Sunday Ticket for decades.....even before digital TV's when i had to go pick up the digital box to plug into my TV to get the signal. But they are getting too greedy now....so I'm no longer paying that. I'll watch the games on NFL Network the day after, and watch any game that is on regular cable. Hope the NFL viewership drops significantly but I doubt that it will. Oh well......guess I'll be having a lot more Sunday free time for other things now.

Are you sure the NFL network will continue to show replays of games during the week? I'm wondering if YouTube would be able to squash this practice forcing people to watch the replays on YouTube, and only for paying subscribers. Even when they did show the replays on the NFL network during the week it was only four or five games seemingly randomly selected.

also, I haven't heard it officially confirmed that YouTube will be able to broadcast the games in mosaic form as DIRECTV has done all these years. In other words four or eight games on the screen happening in real time and you can click on one if you want to go to it live. If YouTube is not going to provide that service, then I'm out. Anyone see any confirmation on this feature?

What did you order it through to get it at this price?

Look i lived off of hacked links forever and they are total trash - freezing mid stream, pop up galore etc.

I have very few guilty pleasures in life. let me have this one.

To be honest I am saving money under the Youtube plan. I had DirecTV since the late 90s just for Sunday Ticket. Finding illegal streams is trash and unreliable so I don't have time for that. I wouldn't have any sort of cable TV if it wasn't for ST, and paying the $389 was way less than paying the >$750 for 6 months of DirecTV just to get ST.

I am a fan.

I ordered it right thru YoutubeTV app on my tv. On the right side of the home page there is an icon that lets you pick add-ons like HBO, etc.. and NFL Ticket is an option.

The price was a special they had at the time for youtubeTV customers, but it expired in like mid June. I think it jumped up $50 or so.

Edit - looks like someone posted the prices a few posts up from this one.

I paid the 249 for similar reasons. Streaming wasn't hard & sometimes worked great, but it's not much money since I've already had youtubetv for a few years. It's worth it to me.

I realize I'm only getting the games that weren't going to be national anyway, but I also like having access to all the other games in case I want to watch some random game for fantasy reasons.

I tried buying the NFL.com package before, but didn't like waiting until the game was over to stream it. Plus, more than a few games would randomly skip from mid first quarter to end of the 4th for no known reason. I think they fixed that later in the week, but it's frustrating on Sunday.
It bothers me that the NFL is rushing to have all it's games streamed rather than over the air before the infrastructure is really in place. Most large metro areas will be okay but some smaller cities and rural areas have slower internet service. Poor streaming quality is common. In Eugene Oregon there are parts of town that get good service and others that have spotty service. It won't be long before theonly games that will be ove rthe air will be Monday and Sunday night and they could get picked up by one of the streaming services. That would leave only your home teams games on TV

That's the way it was back in the 60s.. And they call that forward thinking.

I hate the streaming only wish they did DIRECTV for TV, and YouTube for Streaming, and some rural areas don't/won't have high enough internet to stream the games, so the NFL Sunday Ticket goes from anyone with DIRECTV to anyone who has a good ISP, sure it's great for people in apartments who couldn't get DTV, but there's a lot of s**tty ISPs out there, and not every area where there is high speed has multiple options, I have 1 Spectrum, then I could have Verizon, DSL that is, or Satellite Internet, but they cap the bandwidth, just a bad idea by the NFL, pure greediness by Goodell & the owners to get that $2B+ a yr from YouTube.

Excatly my point. If everyone had access to fast reliable internet then i wouldn't be such a problem. I guess what I hate the most is the exclusivity of it. Like you said, it would be great to give people the option of viewing it on Directv or some other cable/sat service or streaming. Thursday games are now only available on Amazon which is fine if you have Amazon but it's not worth buying prime just for one game per week. I hope that Sunday and Monday night games go the streaming route but I imagine they will if some creep like Bezos is willing to pay.

This is a little like trying to convert everyone to electric vehicles before the power grid is upgraded so it can handle all those vehicles charging.
So, if someone already has Sunday ticket, are they still able to share a stream with another person at a different address ? Asking for a friend.

I think so, not 100% sure, but YouTube upped the limits to unlimited streams inside your home IP address, and then 2 outside streams on the go, so I guess you could go half & half, use the friends YTTV or YT account, not 100% sure though, won't know till games begin.

Well said, now we have Prime for TNF, if you want to watch MNF without cable, you need ESPN+, also Paramount+ for local CBS game, Peacock for SNF, all if you've cut the cord completely, like no DTV, no Cable, no YouTube TV or any streaming provider, only missing a FOX streaming service, I know they have Fox Sports, but you need a TV provider, I've been without my local FOX since the Chiefs game last year on DTV, hope I don't have many, if any, local 49ers games, gonna have to get NFL+, that's another one you can get for local and primetime, so many of them, wish NFL would do what we said, but for all games.

You would think they would want to make it easier to watch games but I guess they only care about the big moola. With the money they get paid maybe they don't care if anyone watches. all those streaming channels are the ones that will have to worry about viewership.

I'm curious to see how many subscribers YouTube gets. I can't imagine it will be more than Directv. They're really just hoping to pick up some new subscribers to their service. How many will drop it once the season ends?

That makes sense since there's no way You Tube would pay all that money and charge $349-$449 per year if the NFL was going to sell it for $49.

This isn't a good option for me. I can't watch football on a phone. I'm used to a 77" TV where you can actually see what's happening. I can use it to listen to the Niner games . I wonder if you can pick which team of broadcasters lie you can on the MLB broadcast app.

I have Apple TV as my streaming box so when I pull it up on my phone I can stream it to my projection setup. Also I can download the NFL app to the Apple TV and I was watching games directly from there as well
