also, you can sorta see the type of plays they steal from us that he mentioned. Lol

he brings an element to the TE position that we've desperately lacked outside of Kittle, he should be a great compliment to Kittle. He seems to be very reliable in the redzone.

Agree.

Ya we'll see how he turns out. If he can be at least a solid backup it was a win. But personally I don't see him turning into some pro bowl player

Looks like he plays faster than his (unofficial) 40 time as well.

It'll be really difficult for him to become a pro bowler because he's playing alongside kittle, CMC, Deebo, and Aiyuk.

i can see him being clutch for us on third downs and redzone though. If he becomes a pro bowler or ends up with great stats these next few seasons will be because he's open with the defense super focused on every one else and matched up against misfits.

Just block and catch better than Dwelley.

Not sure how you came to this conclusion

Hargrave will impact this team more than a 3rd round rookie. Don't get me wrong this draft has been absolute torture but we will be fine.

Philly got significantly better this off-season

So losing your all pro DT, your staring safeties and 2 of your starting LBs is getting significantly better?

And they lost a starting guard on offense. I believe 7 starters overall. That's difficult to replace, especially chemistry wise, and a new defensive coordinator. I'm not saying they'll be bad but saying they're better is a stretch at this time.

philly needs to worry about Dallas. Lol they got better this off season.

This dude is getting so much hate for some reason. He wasn't a bad player at all. QB rating when targeting him was over 100, broke the single season TD record for Alabama TEs, had a really good game in the National Championship, and has only been playing the position for like 3 years.

I agree ask yourself how he got into the best school in the nation essentially for college football, Bama recruits nationally,

ppl like these guys at SW Kansas Tech State who separate vs joke competition meanwhile, Latu is playing SEC football for like the #1 team of the last decade, he's atop the depth chart and going against feature pros

I think it is that reason. The talent level at Alabama is so far ahead of anyone outside the top 10, players may struggle to overcome equal talent at the NFL level.

Essentially they can coast through games, and as a 4th option you are wide open because #1 and #2 have to be doubled.

No I don't think they will be bad by any means either. In fact I was surprised they were able to retain as many guys as they did. I forgot about the OG. I didn't even include Sanders, but I think they kind of offset that with Penny and Swift, but he had an all pro year as well last year so it remains to be seen
He looks pretty good on his highlights. A little better than I thought. Maybe an OK pick. I don't know if it was the biggest need. I don't think he is a huge, powerful blocker if that's how they wanted to use him. He's not the fastest guy. But fast enough. He runs good routes and has good hands. He catches well. A pretty good player who can probably contribute. I'm OK with the pick.

If he seems above average in one area...he has upper body flexibility and a good catch radius. In that regard he reminds me of Bear Pascoe or whatever that dudes name was... he does reach for the ball at darn near any angle effortlessly.

So I guess its a guy that can track the ball really well and has the tools to actual turn that into catches in traffic....

At least it will be interesting to watch what he can and cant do in the NFL.

**** having rewatched a couple of highlight reels over again...... I dont think he had a single bobble...at all.... there Is zero ball movement after it hits his hands.

Tiny sample size of 30 catches on that video...but....maybe he has elite hands to go with his eyes and catch radius. His feet just look slow.

a TE at Bama not getting the ball is not really indicative of that players skill level, they could have Kittle there and not fed him the ball. Bama has so many mouths to feed to keep the recruiting engine in motion, you cant really judge a player by his volume.

Will be interesting to see what sort of pre-season redzone-short yardage packages he ends up in, see if he can end up as one of those "soft spot" zone beaters.

Who was the TE Kyle had with the browns back in the day? All he did was catch TDs... Latu reminds me of him. Basically Kyle will scheme him opportunities to high point the ball on 3rds and in the redzone.
