I have a feeling this TE will surprise us. He is not flashy like most of the TE's and the ones we covet in our wishes but Kelce is not flashy but he's arguably the best or at least top 2 TE's. But I'm not saying Latu is or will be in Kelce's level.

I wouldn't be so much angry about this pick had Skittles is towards the end of his career... but damn, the guy still the best TE in the NFL.. and to top it off, we got capable back ups who is very comparable to Latu...
Also, that #10 from Alabama just still reminds me another bad pick. ..

Totally agree. But that's character problem. If he had Bosa's character, he probably would have gotten a nice extension by now.

Has that been confirmed? I thought I read Latu was one of the few TEs who went there while he was in college. Surprising that he wouldn't come when actually part of George's NFL team.

Maiocco and JLC (who's been there the whole time), said they both weren't there. But quite a few old/new 49ers are like Kroft, Woerner, Trey, Kittle, BeatHard, Mullens, etc. I think they said Brock came too (not sure for how long). JLC had an interview with him.

Dont know what Latu will become but I think he should exceed Woerner/Dwelley and what Kroft contributed by year 2. Big disappointment if he doesn't.
