Just pick him on the 53 if he's good enough. 5 year starter at Texas.

Yeah I'd rather have him on the 53 then Ambry. Take the chance of getting Ambry on the practice squad

It would be between Ambry and Luter for the last cb spot imo even though Ambry is worse than Witherspoon. If we place Luter on PUP then maybe we can squeeze him on the 53

I like this kid a lot. We are already giving him reps at the NCB spot and he is a hell of a returner. When we don't resign Ray Ray McCloud imo he can be our PR.

We had better not risk trying to sneak this kid onto the practice squad. Most of the reporters are glowing about Jamison right now. He seems to be one of the few guys who can actually cover Aiyuk, and he's been doing it since OTA's. That's damn impressive. Hell, even if he wasn't a good corner, then someone will still try and steal him if they need a cheap quality returner.
Ambry is still struggling with consistency and I feel better trying to sneak him onto the practice squad because it's not a big loss if someone claims him. He's basically a worse version of Witherspoon. They get beat a couple of times and just fall apart. There is no real saving corners who have poor technique and OCD. Hopefully Lynch can trade him for a 6th before cut day because I think he's a lost cause and we have better young players that deserve an opportunity to make the roster over him. We have others on the bubble who are stacking good days right now, like Kinlaw, McCrary-Ball, Davis-Price, Womack, and Jamison. Thomas is still doing his usual good day/bad day routine. Yeah he has all the physical tools, but something is missing. Hopefully he still has a little trade value. Hopefully.

He's been consistently good since he signed. Now he's playing both outside and inside, so he brings more to the table, and that doesn't even include his return abilities. This is looking like another steal by our front office, but it's still early. Hopefully he continues to shine and forces his way onto the roster. The way everyone is talking about him tells me he's making it because it's not just the media and fans speaking highly of him, it's the coaches and players too.

Hear hear. I have always said Ambry is a worse version of Witherspoon as well good call nas!
He is 5'9 so he can take over the NCB job after we are done with Oliver or at least the PR position when Ray Ray is gone after this year. We are set up for the long haul

Agree -- if he's hanging tough with our best pure WR Aiyuk, who's singing his praises, that's definitely noteworthy.

I have him on my latest 53, that's with Luter still on PUP, so idk what happens, I can see us keeping 6 CBs, and 4 Safeties, meaning Hartsfield would be cut, who I like a lot, and is a Wilks guy.
