Dumb coaching decisions! Why not just kick the extra point instead of a third 2 point try. Take your chances in OT. You got the momentum. San Diego is right Campbell makes dumb decisions like Staley. I'm still glad the Lions lost, and the Cowboys won but in a controversial fashion. Win Win😃

Yeah that's completely correct.

By Campbell going for 2 he gave his team one chance only to win the game. Whereas in OT your likely to have multiple chances, Both offensively and defensively. This not Baseball where a tied game in the final inning and extra innings gives the advantage to the home team. In Football there is no advantage. The road team has just as good a chance to win the coin flip as the home team.

That doesn't make sense. We can see Dan Skipper #70 walking up to the refs where Decker is standing. What was he doing if not reporting?

Warch it again. Skipper doesn't even get to the area until the ref's back is already to the players and is running away. Skipper was clearly just running over to his teammates.

It appears Brad Allen left that area very abruptly. It may well be that he didn't take the time to recognize who the players were and why they were there. Either way, it is on the ref to give the players an opportunity to report.
The problem with an Olineman making himself eligible to the Ref is he is trying to keep up the element of surprise. So he has to inform him without the Cowboys being tipped off. So because of that there was confusion. But still if the Ref needs a player to literally grab him and scream it in his face, He shouldn't be an official.

Edit: I heard that the ref thought #70 was reported as eligible and so did the Cowboys which is why #68 was wide open. The question is did Goff know about this mistake before the snap and yet still threw the ball to him? Maybe because he had nothing else and hoping either the ref would let it stand or he would get another shot. The bigger mistake was Campbell still going for it afterwards. Kick the extra point and forget about everything that just happened before that. Just pretend you were never going for two and it was just a dream.

Now just need the Cards to upset the Eagles and then we can just win this game and the Rams game becomes meaningless.

That would be unreal if that happen!!! Then again Jonathan Gannon knows that team and Darius Slay won't be playing too. Murray should have a pretty good shot again that defense. But can Arizona's defense hold up is the question?? They don't have CB's who can keep up with Devonta Smith and AJ Brown. This should be a pretty good game to watch, IMO I don't think it will be boring or one sided.

The Eagles can be beaten by any team right now with the way they are playing. But the question is can the Cards be motivated enough to want to win this game. I wish Kyler's future with the Cards was on the line so he would have something to play for. I would love nothing more than us to have the #1 seed clinched and for the Rams to need to beat us just to make the playoffs. Now that would be an enjoyable game to watch knowing we can just relax and feel no anxiety.

Why the heck does Buffalo have a huge Taylor Swift 2023 flag flying under their team flag?

Maybe Josh Allen has been dipping.
To bad they both couldn't Lose, or even tie each other.

If the refs admit they screwed up has there ever been a game where they reversed the score ?

No, nor should they for a multitude of reasons. In this particular game though, there were still 23 seconds on the clock so the game wasn't over for starters. On top of that, the official announced #70 as eligible, not #68 so Dallas does not account for #68. If the officials announce #68 as eligible then Dallas defense will obviously account for him (not saying Detroit wouldn't score anyway, just pointing out the play would change). You cannot and should not retroactively change scores.

Really, I have a very low estimation of the standard of officiating in the NFL but Detroit are just absolute buffoons here. For starters, they send two lineman, Decker and Sewell to the official and have a third, Skipper, sprinting toward him as well and Decker is behind Sewell when he says (according to him) "report". To me it's not clear who is reporting but if that wasn't enough, while Detroit is still in the huddle the ref announces "#70 is eligible, #70 is eligible" two times and not a single person, player or coach corrects the official that it was #68 who was reporting as eligible. It beggars belief how stupid Detroit is here. Then they follow it up by going for 2 again, 7 yards out. Absolute clown show by them.
