Chris Jones going to ask for more than Nick Bosa now lol

Not sure The Chiefs defense was the problem. Lions offense only scored 14 points.

They win if Chris Jones plays.

or if Toney didn't play.

Why do people year after year keep acting like week 1 = your entire season. We've seen this a hundred times with great teams starting off slow but they end up just fine when the final standings are out.

Yeah I am going to hold off trashing other teams until I see how we do on Sunday. Don't want to invite any bad karma.

I agree to reserve this thoughts until after like week 5 but i just keep coming back to one thing.

all week long they talked about losing Kelce or not knowing if he would play and allot of the talking heads kept saying it'sa huge issue. They said but if anyone could overcome it Maholmes could. I guess i don't understand how a single player has people completely second guessing them. I get that he was a safety blanket for Maholmes but still.
How many times have we been down our starting rb starting te and a starting wr in a game and still pul it off. Look at all last year for us. hell the last three years with injuries. How did one player not being in nose done their entire offense.

Did you see who Pat was throwing to last night? 5th/6th string WRs. Their #1 looked awful (Toney)

Difference with us is we have good depth, they don't.

They will get Kelce back

on the "bright" side for them Toney did get open a lot he just dropped his passes if he caught them I think there is a different story so if he fixes that he can be a good weapon for them. Rice also looked good. Sky Moore did not look too impressive. Their RT is awful too

I don't think the chiefs make it this year the AFC has gotten a lot more talented. Hell will make a bold prediction that chargers will win that division.

It's early. Apparently Toney didn't play much in preseason as he was recovering from some things. Also, no Chris Jones as mentioned, and no Kielce. As much as I wasn't impressed with what I saw, Mahomes was still Mahomes. This is a tough team to write-off, and they will look much more cohesive by weeks ~5-8.

As long as their 2 best players not named Mahomes are injured or holding out , maybe

Yes, this precisely!

That game came down to one specific play, the pick 6. That was on Toney, as the pass was on the money.

I thought mahomes can do it with anyone?

He did not look as good as Brady did the year he had to break in the rookie WRs......

Good QB's make their line look better then it is, GREAT QBs make their weapons look better then they are.

It is one game, first game of the season...but it is a flash of what a good QB looks like when his weapons are subpar. I am sure they will get better.

I mean, he hit his WRs in the hands multiple times and they just dropped it. There isn't much he can do about that.

Lots of teams including the 49ers thought Tom Brady was washed after 2019 due to how he looked with a poor receiving group.

Maybe I'm wrong, but a huge criticism of Shanny is that he never would coddle a qb and give them some gimme type plays to start a game and build their confidence. It's a constant trope for a QB. Can we say this about WRs? I mean normally you just move on and churn em out, but KC is in a consistent window with Mahomes and they need to take advantage of every year they have him at QB.

I don't even know what a play would look like. Maybe end around, come backs, wr screens?
