Pretty sure it's been said multiple times that he's not playing tonight. From what I've seen he's back in Denver and won't be back in the Bay until Monday.

That would be true if he was an unknown or a rookie but he's not. Pass rushers don't need to learn the playbooks like a lot of other positions do. In the right situation it's just pin your ears back and get the QB.

They probably let him know he's not starting, CMC is a fair point but Randy Gregory is not CMC

Initially Kyle said he'd be back Monday, but when a reporter pressed him on it he said he "didn't want to give away our secrets" and that it was possible that Gregory would play. Would be odd to release Hyder to make room for Gregory and then not have him active. I think it's just Kyle being Kyle and he'll be out there.

Yeah seems odd to me - why release hyder if Gregory isn't playing? Hyder is someone who's played a bit.

Unless they had to in order to meet requirements for roster size. Idk exactly but I'm still optimistic that gregory will play

It's better all round if he just uses his usual guy in Denver rather than scrabbling around Tenderloin or wherever. Better quality assurance too.

The article I read wrote that Kyle was saying that as a joke. He will not be in Santa Clara tonight.

CMC was with the 9ers the next day!!!

And Denver is closer than Carolina. That said Gregory probably has a family to pack up and CMC didn't and with his coin probably had an assistant or agent take care of his pack up.
