Negative return lol. Anything to try and bash the philosophy because they aren't following someone's team building approach,

He needs to rush as an UP OLB.. He's not a DE.. that's the problem.. he's playing out of position..

Wut? Since when?

dude can do both.

Or change his whole philosophy.

When you factor in how many resources he's applied to ER2, from Ford to Young, it's been a negative return and those resources could have been used elsewhere.

Or maybe you can realize how hard it is to find that elite level EDGE guy and why they're so important.

What resources are you talking about with Young? One of 500 comp 3rds they have?

I know how much you love OL, if that's the case you should understand how important the guys they're blocking are lol.

there's a reason SF has this stat

and it's not just because of the secondary (which has been shuffling guys around all year)

sacks are fun. Consistent pressure that leads to INTs is better. This DL overall has been one of the best in football…yet again

DTs are a dime a dozen.

He only values one position group. Devoting resources to any other position group is a mistake. Unless it's Khalil Mack then devoting 2 1sts would've been genius.

That 63 overall for Ford and 100 overall for Chase is devastating. No to mention that pick swap for Gregory that makes 9ers fall 20 spots in the 200s.

It's nowhere near his image, hence why he keeps trying in every way possible. I'm talking cumulative (massive list of accumulations) not the value and ROI of one recent trade. The man talks non stop about wanting closers. Kyle pisses Bosa off calling him out to close better.

At the end of the day, despite first round draft picks, trades and FA, he still doesn't have a healthy reliable 1T nor higher end ER2. I'm not mad at him for trying mostly everything under the sun but at some point, he's just going to have to buy/trade for a real ER and probably draft another 1T high.

Do you think he's got what he wants? That he's gotten good ROI over 7 years? Given you just said you expect Lynch to draft an ER with the first pick, I take it you agree.

That said, this is still a really good DL...let's not get that twisted.

Sorry, I'll cool it
Gregory didn't cost the team anything. A swap of two super late round picks is meaningless.

Yeah. I bet he balls out in the playoffs for a big payday next year. Same goes for Young.

Some rest will certainly help both out a lot for sure. National audience? Time to make that $.
