To be fair, they also lost both the OC and DC from last year. Along with the players they lost, they just aren't s good this season. It's a fact of life that when you win a SB expect a raid on coaches and a loss of some free agents.
It's the reality Kyle has been dealing with on a yearly basis
That is one thing that's amazing Kyle has done. If he wins number 6, he will be immortalized in 49ers lore....
Except Kyle isn't losing his OC. He is the OC. Other than Buckner, the Niners haven't really lost any great players to FA. They lost some marginal players and decent players but that's about it. Lynch and Paraag have done a good job of reworking contracts so they can keep the core players On top of that they added Hargrave, CMC and Chase Young to an already good team. Throw in Clellin Ferrel for good measure.
Kyle being the OC is huge. That's a big part of the stability of the staff and team, despite being raided (both front office and coaches) every friggen year. I still remember Alex Smith with his rotating offensive coordinators every year. Demeco and Saleh are going to have to deal with that. Saleh already. I think the biggest part of the ShanaLynch success is
drafting well. Example: Purdy.
