Outlaw the Tush Push in the NFL?

i can understand if Philly doesn't sub out, but I believe they do. Defenses need to match body for body on the play but seldom do.

They need their own Tush Push from the defensive side.

What would be the reason for banning that play?? I think it's a f**ked up play all around but there has to be a small reason to ban it.
Lol

It's a train wreck pile up of bodies and very dangerous. It's also competitively unstoppable and deeply unfair. It's more rugby than football anyway. All of that.

This
Hurts has superhuman leg strength. Thats why it works so well.

Teams need to devise a way to stop it. Thats football. Not ban it lol.

If it's truly causing a lot of injuries ban it. No other reason should matter.
Best argument for the banning was Richard Sherman bringing up that doing this kinda thing was made illegal for special teams to do this to block a kick citing player health. I think the Eagles get in an unnatural amount of short yardage situations just don't let them get to short yardage situations and you stop it.
Go over the top and punish hurts. Shove the o-lineman's head into the ground. Use running starts to take shots at hurts. Is it legal to use their oline for leverage? Use every advantage the rules allow on defense. Trying to out-leverage them is never gonna work. Make them, specifically their prized QB pay a physical price.

Only for Jalen Hurts and the Philly Iggles. Otherwise, as Nick Siriani would say, if it was that easy everyone would be doing it.

Right, you're not allowed to use another player as leverage to block a kick is that right?? Or was it you can't use a running start to block a kick?? But yah, don't let them get 4th and 1 or 4th and inches and when they do just have all the D-lineman stand up and don't even try to stop it because you'll get flagged for lining up off sides if you do anyway. f**k the Eagles and Sirianni.
This is such BS. This guy better not officiate our game vs them.

I guess they are looking at it because there is some danger of getting injured. I'm not sure why it's more dangerous than any other play run into the middle of the line. I don't care one way or the other. There are other things about the league that I would rather see changed.

Pass interference has become a joke. It all comes down to whether the official feels like throwing a flag. They grab and push each other all over the field even though the rules say the defender can't make contact beyond 5 yards. BS. I see it on every play. It seems like the league has decided that the rules tilted the field too much in favor of the offense so now they're ignoring the 5 yard rule. In all fairness to the defense it's nearly impossible to defend against a well thrown ball to a receiver that can snatch a ball with one hand with those sticky gloves. Let's ban those gloves while we're at it.
my take, banning would be BS, ppl just want to ban cuz you can't stop it. that's no excuses to ban
it's not an 'unsafe' play it's probably one of the safer plays in football, most violent collisions are when ppl have an opportunity to accelerate up to top speed and making forcible contact at speed, no one is top speed here
