A speedster at end would be a nice compliment to Bosa. Bosa seems a step behind

Dude is butt. Sucks I was really hoping for that Robin to Bosa's Batman.

I'll bet money they will be going after EDGE high in the next draft.

If Chases demand is low I'd bet they bring him back.

He's going to be cheap for a reason. They need to let him walk.

What player will we be able to get that has a ceiling like him?

I agree. If the price is right he's fine to keep, but don't disagree we probably all expected more. It kinda proves there is only one nick bosa.

I wouldn't mind trying to find that speed rusher off the edge ala dee ford to develop, but I'd prioritize the o line first.

I don't think the price will be right. Some poor franchise, long on cap room and short on talent, probably pays him bank. Just fingers crossed hoping he returns to old form.

That's probably accurate and who could blame him, but that usually means a terrible team and if I'm chase I'd rather make a little less with the chance at the playoffs every year.

Patriots will sign this dude to a decent bag

A lil less of a fat contract, is still a fat contract. Hard to hand a fat contract to a guy struggling in the contract year. Imagine a fat contract and years of him playing like this or in and out of the lineup. Dee Ford on repeat.

Any player. You have to go with what works. On name alone and draft position, he'll command something on the market. Yet he's not impacting games. And it's not scheme, he just doesn't look very fit. That was the issue with WAS, he had some injuries and hasn't been the same. Them declining the option year was pretty telling.

if you say so. I think it would be a giant f**king mistake. Give coach K and coach Bosa an off-season to work with this dudes tools and enjoy the benefits next year. But as always people think this teams gonna hit on every draft pick so letting players walk is no issue cause that's what we have shown.

How would we get an offseason to do anything? We would probably have to pay a fortune, for a guy currently struggling. Map it out for me.

I said if his demand is f**king low. Don't jump in mid conversation and not do the bare minimum and atleast be up to date with what's being discussed. Obviously I'm not trying to pay him crazy money. If he wants Ebukam type money I pay that in a heartbeat. If he wants close to what Bosa got i wave goodbye.

I just see no universe where his demand is low. Pass rushers on the market get paid. Sure if he wants to play for peanuts, sign me / us up.

I think his relationship with Nick and he has obviously underperformed here will keep his contract down and manageable. I just don't think it's as easy as sign or draft any end and he will instantly perform. I do not ever want to see Drake Jackson on the field for the 49ers again. I'll ride the Chase getting his mojo back train all day cause regardless how he plays he's still getting extra attention from opposing teams. That's more than what Gregory, Jackson and Ferrell have provided.
He's getting by on his name and draft status. I wouldn't bring him back even for cheap. Commie fans were right, dude has no motor, no want to. He's on a championship team, on a defense loaded with talent and looks like a jag and just going through the motions. Losing type player. Let him walk, buh bye. I want more Gregory this Sunday.

All perspectives Understood. Not without risk but I'm with hysterical that he's still worth it at the right price since decent edge rushers are simply hard to find but that also fuels faithfuls thinking about probably becoming overpriced etc. He knows his own body best so that may factor into his thinking.

Tell you what. I wouldn't mind him turning into a demon for two games to help us win it all.

Amen brother!
he's projected to make around 13.5 million/year according to spotrac, but I think he'll get more. If I'm Lynch, I let him walk, and get a comp pick. Lynch has been good finding edge guys, (Ebukam, Key, etc.) I'd much rather they go for a guy like Dorrance Armstrong, who knows the wide-9, and would be about half the cost of Young.

He's never been the guy he was his rookie year after the injuries. He likes the party life. He won't spend the off season working with Nick and KK. I'd have a better chance at seeing him here in DC at a party then they will. It's not about a draft pick for me per se, it's the facts that he hasn't shown anything worth being resigned.
loved the trade at first but too bad we couldn't pull the trigger on jaylon Johnson or Montez sweat. I thought our trade was the best but getting one of those 2 would've been
On that long Aaron Jones run in the 4th quarter, did Chase whiff the edge? He took a sharp angle when he should have held the edge?
Everyone talks about the lack of effort from Young, but I'm seeing the exact same thing on the opposite side from Bosa - and have been since before Young got here. Young and Gregory both seemed to play harder their first couple of games with us, then "settled down" into what we have now. It seems obvious to me this is a coaching/scheme issue, more than a player issue. This bend but don't break defense is fine for an average defense to make them more competitive. But this is a dominant defense with top tier players at every level. It's time to start playing like it. Past time, really. Get rid of Wilts, bring in a defensive coordinator with an actual pair of balls, and watch this defense take over.

Chase was in the Packers highlights, but so was the entire DLine. They were getting handled by WR.
I know this Defense will show up and show out bs the Lions!!! 💪🏽
