Run stops are great, but that's 4 total plays over 2 games. What about the other plays where the edge wasn't set, missed assignments, etc? More curious about overall run defense grade. It's kinda like that Cowboys CB on IR who had a ton of picks last year or the year before, but he allowed the most yards in the league. The splash plays are great, but what's happening other than that?
Still want to keep him at the right price.
Feel like he's also the ultimate boom or bust player for the SB

They graded all run plays, not just flashy plays.

On those crack toss, the issue was the second level reinforcement, not the DE. Wilks and Kyle both said this. Jonnydel also said the same. I have mentioned this multiple times in this forum, but people choose to ignore.

He was supposed to be a Bosa level talent comming out of college, and its just hasn't translated into the NFL. From what I've seen, he's like Celine Ferril and not a superstar like Bosa. I'd like to keep him because I feel you can't find players like him available in free agency this year. But if we lose him, ShanaLynch will probably just find an older veteran to sign.

He was actually really good his rookie year and hasn't been the same since his injury. Bummer

What you said is quite weird IMO. There is a big gap in between Bosa and Ferrell. If you think Young is another Ferrell, you don't need to worry about losing Young because I bet there are plenty of Celine Ferrell caliber players in FA.

He stays.. he stays..

I expect him to be the MVP of the Super Bowl with 5 sacks !!!

SF 43
KC 23
I was always intrigued with Marcus Davenport. He played like 4 games this yr then got put on IR with a high ankle sprain. Think he had a sack in two of those games.

I remember SF was interested in him during the draft. Shouldn't cost much.
What u guys think of having Chase on the inside and Gregory on the outside on running downs?

I hope you're right. The Chiefs defense gave up their highest points in 2023 season during the AFC Divisional playoff game - 24 points to the Bills. The Chief's defense has been great at not allowing opposing teams to score. The Chief's defense pose a big challenge to our O.
Young is trying to do too much

Just set the Edge.

Thats all

Stick to the game plan.

You had me up until, "on running downs". Chase would be a very light DT. Not sure if he'd hold up.
Chase Young is a sack specialist not a run specialist.
