DE Chase Young signs with the Saints

I was thinking about Chase Young today, and came away with this conclusion:
Although Chase has the physical ability/tools, it's been noted that as a player he doesn't always give max effort.

Prior to being traded to the 49ers, Chase was having a good season with the WFT/Commanders. So what changed?
Maybe it was his conditioning, maybe it's the lingering effects of his injury !? I think as the euphoria of playing with
Bosa wore off, and as his PT increased due to injuries on the D-line, he reverted to taking plays off due to the talent
level of the 49ers' defence.

Crazy thoughts, Y/N …

Another angle is he wasn't necessary playing within the defensive plan there (setting the edge, run game) and he was just padding numbers trying for sacks.
He got a sack or 1.5 his first game here, then has slowed down. We all thought his numbers and Bosas would jump due to single teams.
I just want to see constant effort and no breakdowns. I would love to see him get home and bring Mahomes down a few times, but equally in don't want to see a WR block him or chip him and Pacheco go for a big gain around his side.
Chase Young just needs to set an edge and not be blocked by WRs

Its that simple.

Hopefully he can learn how to play in a week.
It's put up or shut up time.

I don't give a cr-p about what he did in the past or his potential.

He has to give every bit of himself on the field.

If he doesn't then
Hargrave mentioned that practice on this team is more harder than in Philly, maybe that whole division got easy practices. now Chase is too tired after practice and it shows up on game day F it, just let him have his Head & Shoulders commercial already

This is his contract game... I think he will be fine.

He didn't turn it up in the NFC championship game. I lost all faith after that. Nothings going to motivate him.

He sounds like hes just repeating what the coaches told him, like a kid that got in trouble. He might do better because he got yelled at, but you can tell its not sincere.
