Anyone know if we could choose to pick up that 5th year option, or has that date passed?

Pretty sure only the team that drafted them can, and also the date has passed.

Nope. Commanders declined to pick up the 5th year option.

He already has twice as many sacks as anyone on the team. Assuming no unforeseen issues, he will make the team better.

Bosa has been getting double teamed and even triple teamed at times.

If an opponent matches Young up one-on-one w/a good or average tackle, Young should dominate.

Then after a bit it should free up Bosa to do his thing.

Bosa hasn't been double teamed much this year. Teams see the data and realize he hasn't been the force he was last year. Bosa was doubled far more last year ans still got to the QB. This year he's usually one on one.
