Young is a great bookend to Bosa, but until the scheme and philosophy change. It could be more of the same with Wilks.

There is almost a narrow slice of truthery to this, based upon our recent results.
I thought we were supposed to be epic this year.

Bosa has been getting double teamed and even triple teamed at times.

If an opponent matches Young up one-on-one w/a good or average tackle, Young should dominate.

Then after a bit it should free up Bosa to do his thing.

Bosa hasn't been double teamed much this year. Teams see the data and realize he hasn't been the force he was last year. Bosa was doubled far more last year ans still got to the QB. This year he's usually one on one.

Bosa and Parson are the most double teamed edge rushers in the nfl.

Last year maybe but I see Bosa one on one all the time this year. I watch every play and I just haven't seen it ths year very often. Why would they. He's not playing like he did last year. He gets pressure but he's not getting the sack. Let's see if adding anther pass rusher helps.

As of today, per ESPN there are literally two guys being double teamed more (Garret and Parsons):

Granted, Bosa's win rate is down from before, but perhaps the double teams have something to do with that.

Lol teams see the data

Lulz
Great trade on the surface, not sure it fixes our problems though

Wonder if Young will be every down player with us. Anyone know how he was being deployed in Washington?

He was their sack leader so I imagine he saw most of the action.

I think he will be a rotation havoc for offenses until he gets comfortable with our team and we asses his injuries.
I bet come playoffs or playing against division leaders we unleash him more.
Oooh! Some good news! Awesome!!!

There will be a TON of pressure on Wilks now. If he can't make this a top 5 defense he has no business coaching in this league.

We get better for sure, so I think it will at least help.

Chase made his first appearance of the season in week 2, in which he played 70% of the snaps. Since then, he's played 79% or more of the snaps.

I've watched almost all of there games this year. He plays dam near every snap. He plays more than Sweat
Isn't the problem that the opposing QB is getting the ball out too quick effectively nullifying our pass rush?
Then our corners are getting burned. OUR CORNERS ARE GETTING BURNED.
how about we actually address the problem?

I don't believe it but you can't argue with ESPN right. I just haven't seen it. I see him wrestling with the tackle almost every play. I admit that the camera during the games doesn't always show the right angles. but my point is he's not getting doubled and tripled like he did last year. Last year it was evident on nearly every play. The tackle and a back or the guard would engage immediately.

As long as we can keep drake jackson off the field it should be an improvement
