Great trade on the surface, not sure it fixes our problems though
It doesnt fix all the problems but it sure addresses a big weakness which was a lack of pass rush. What is great is that it costs only $561,000 and a 3rd rd comp pick which will likely be balanced out with a comp pick when he leaves after the year. No risk trade for a potential difference maker.

Definitely happy about it, it's a great deal.

Hopefully this will help the DBs. We have zero wiggle room on the OL though.

I do hope that the 49ers use their first 3 picks next year on the OL and secondary. Those remain their biggest needs going into next year unless Purdy totally lays an egg. That will change everything
Great trade. Coaches need a Come to Jesus Moment during the BYE. They have the personnel. Have a long sit down with Wilks to get him on the same page. Stop making Purdy throw into triple coverage down the middle with most of his INTs are happening. Purdy shows Elite flashes (reminds me of Steve Young) scrambling making across the field across the body throws to Kittle and CMC. He's good. Just young and going through growing pains. We can address these issues. GO Niners!!!
Bosa, Hargrave, AA, Young - If Wilks cannot scheme to generate a pass rush with THIS front 4 he has no earthly business being our, or any team's DC.
If they were targeting Young, is there some reason they couldn't have got him the past 2 weeks?

I've watched almost all of there games this year. He plays dam near every snap. He plays more than Sweat

As long as we can keep drake jackson off the field it should be an improvement

Yea he's outta of here. no reason that on certain downs Wilks shouldn't have Bosa, Hargrave, Young and Gregory rushing the passer

Probably because Washington didn't want to unload him 2 weeks ago.
he's ranked 75 pff. He's got 6 sacks. that's about the rest of our team, right? Let's see how wilks can dial that down.

Wash might have been able to get more for him then.

The key will be to play closer coverage / more zone so that the opposing QBs have to take a little longer to survey the field.
