1 guy doesn't save a season. Getting back to 49ers defensive football does. We need enough push up the middle but all he has to do is match or come close to Dee Ford's production in 2019 and the d will be devastating again. Qb's will have to take that side into consideration now, not just drop back and drink a beer first.

The only number I care about is how many sacks and pressures he gets. I couldn't care less what number he wears.

No one is scared of an edge rusher wearing a number in the 60's or 70's man. It's just how it is I didn't make the rules.

What if he wears 66, but QB's will read it as 99 as he stands over them after sacking them all game long

Jared Allen was a beast sporting 69 and Michael Bennett abused the Niners for awhile wearing 72 I believe. Granted Bennett was a smaller DT and not an ER.

Next question how has Chase Young performed against the Eagles and Cowboys and how many times has he hit or sack Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott?

Kinlaw and Gipson are the players with the biggest contracts the 9ers will have, oh and Sam Darnold but I expect him to be re-signed. But I think the 9ers will have no trouble keeping Young with $40+ mil in cap space.
