BA will have to go at somepoint. Why in the world would a team that doesn't pass a ton pay 2 wr's over 20 million? Just makes no sense. Find a cheaper replacement for BA and spend some money on the o line

Any good FA WRs next year?

Trading Deebo will be hard based on hi salary. He misses a lot of games and his production is limited by that factor.

Also Deebo is a captain and loved in the locker room. So yeah, I don't see that happening. Our offense hasn't been the same without him. Aiyuk is the better rout runner, but I cant say better overall. He has critical drops etc. Opponents fear Deebo way more than Aiyuk. However they are the perfect compliment to each other in this system so either being out hurts the other etc.

If Chase is 100% healthy and plays great... I would argue much easier to find production at WR than edge. Let's see.

That doesn't really help us on game day due to him being Injured here and there.

I agree but Aiyuk would be an easier and probably more attractive trade optin. I also agree that finding a receiver is easier than finding an edge rusher. I'd liketo see a little more speed at WR but I would also lie to see a bigger guy like Evans or Metcalf. i don't mean those 2 specifically but a receiver built along those lines.

This could be an interesting conversation after the season if Chase goes off while he's here.

Would be dumb to let Aiyuk walk

Unpopular opinion but this is reversed. It will be Deeb who is traded for a one plus. Brandon is a better route runner IMO. He's Brock's go to boy. Brandon plus CMC=Deeb in a sense. Brandon and Brock have had some really strong connections.

The wallet really starts to tighten next season. A one plus for Deeb. And don't get me wrong. Love Deeb and not a hater but he feels like an overpaid decoy/blocker at times. Brandon has stepped into the spotlight and to me the one to keep. I'm worried Trent is going to retire one way or the other after this year. We need to buy or draft highly some OL pieces. Deeb could be a casualty of need over luxury item.

If Chase balls he needs to stay.

Deebo traded for a one plus? How do you think that would happen, when Deebo asked for a trade, and the best offer the 49ers got was a pick swap? And since then, Deebo's been hurt...again.

Thats my thinking. No clear answer, but if Chase balls out having that premiere pass rush along the line is more important. I didnt realize how much Gregory was slated to make next year. No way I see us paying that.

DID YOU MEAN... if Young ends up leading the league with 19 sacks and being the DOY, should we pay him more than Bosa?

Can we afford that??
Chase Young is better than a WR. Any of them. If he can regain the pre injury form. With him and Bosa it should be almost illegal to play us. That's if we can get a defensive coordinator who doesn't put him in coverage like I know this one will. His job is to pass rush.

Imo trading Deebo before letting Aiyuk leave makes the most sense because of Debos perceived value. It would be like trading Kittle.
We could get a good return on them while their value is still really high and they are most likely to be over valued by other teams when either would probably not reach the level that they did on the Niners, similar to Dee Ford but we would get more out of a trade.

Never know, I bet 90% of this forum would have said that they would have traded away Arik Armstead before trading Buckner.

Have to agree with the disagreement view lol

We'll see how much time Young gets and see if he can manage to stay healthy.

Didn't it say if he can regain his pre injury form?

We've just witnessed in the last 3 losses that a good DL and one good WR can do

Keep chase
Need him to have 8 sacks against the Jags before even arguing on resigning him.
