someone will probably give him 22-25 million per year

Why?

Because free agency is crazy, and he's a young pass rusher. I wouldn't pay that. Neither will SF, but I think somebody will (Baalke)

he may NOT be as good as BOSA.. but the guy is worth every penny that Bosa got... he makes our DL that much better..
5 is not a full time DE (IMO) but I do like him.. .. he's a very good player, but he wears down easily...

so I FULLY HOPE that we give 92 Bosa's MONEY..

22-25 APY is Miles Garrett money. No one is giving a guy with 14 career sacks and significant injury history that kind of money.

CY was looking like Garrest until his injury. I keep reading it takes 2 years for players to start trusting themselves again. He's getting there. Next year he could be that beast like we have seen

If we lose CY, then we have no one to help Bosa next year

Young can sign a 2 or 3 year deal with incentives to not only prove something but stay in a place where he fits in best and have to be the best to enjoy a high level of success.

no way he stays on a majority incentive contract

If Garrett hit the open market this off season, he'd get Bosa money. I never said Young was worth that, but I bet a team will give him that. Nobody thought a team would give Christian Kirk 18 mill/year for 4 years.

Kirk is not a good comparison in this case as Chase is worth it
seems like hes getting out played by randy gregory?
Win the chip and he'll have no choice but to run it back.

I think they are just rotating guys without a massive drop-off now. I see Bosa gets a few series off every game as well. It's keeping them all fresh which is an amazing luxury.

What still pops to me is how damn big Young is. Kid is a massive human being and I think he's improving every week in our scheme. I saw him power his tackle like a bag of air one play the QB had to get it out so fast. Love to see it. I think if we can come close to his top offers he would stay.

He is also 7 years younger than Gregory so I cant see them keeping him. Take his money and apply it to Chase.

That is a wild take. Paying a player purely on potential and not production is great way to get burned badly.

Yah, I'm noticing it late, but they seem to be rotating the DE's a lot, I don't remember them doing that this much early in the season. I wonder if they started doing that because they noticed how fatigued they were after the three-game losing streak??
