Yup

I'll be honest just from an eyes view I don't notice a difference between him, randy, or ferell.

I was so beyond excited about this pickup. Started off great but has fizzled out some. But just could be end of the year drainout idk.

Defense has looks a bit sluggish out there at times..lots of missed tackles.

He's not special but we've had a lot worse playing the edge in recent years. He's a good but not great compliment to Bosa.

Worth keeping for the right price.

Meh.
Collectively the impact as there. This lineup over a full season would have 68 sacks. It also wasn't until Young showed up that Bosa got going. For the right price, you absolutely sign Young. I'd also hope we see more stunts like we did under DeMeco. Give us DeMeco/Saleh defense level D-line play + the ability to intercept and consistently play good to great without the penalties of these Wilks secondaries. That will vault us back to number 1 easily.
I disagree. It's a failed experiment.

I see so many mention that but that just seems like falsely linking two things. Young is only playing half the snaps and how much attention do you really think Young is drawing with his productivity that Bosa would be directly affected? The most likely reason Bosa got going is the change from Oliver going to the bench and Thomas coming in.

This!

IMO, there has to be a better option out there to pay big bucks to.

If we are VERY lucky maybe the new GM & HC for the Chargers will deem Joey Bosa as too expensive.
Won't have to worry about resigning him in the offseason

and to think about this guy was suppose to rival Bosa coming out the draft

I was hoping he would start playing like he did at Ohio State once he got here with Bosa on the other end. It hasn't happened for whatever reason. He isn't worth signing unless he takes a low priced one year contract.

He posted big sack #s in Washington, so maybe his lack of production has something to do with how Wilks is using him. Bosa's #s are down as well, and the D line as a whole has been the most underwhelming group on this team, especially when you consider how much is invested there.

Underwhelming to say the least. Then again, the DL hasn't dominated the trenches the way we all thought they would.

I see more DL Investments In the near future

Fair point, but the reality is there is a major uptick in our sack production as a team and with Bosa. Id totally agree the secondary is much improved is a big part of it. Thank you for pointing that out because that could be the bigger reason we are doing better. Going to see what happens today and in the playoffs, as well as what the team thinks in terms of a resign.

I think this HAS to.play a role. We have seen Hargrave, Bosa, and Young be far more disruptive. My hope is that in year 2, Wilks will use the D-line far better.
Resign him he hasn't been amazing but solid, let's keep in mind Wilks defense isn't pin your ears back and go after the qb but gap control. I think Chase has done a fine job
