Would you trade draft picks for Justin Fields?

Was looking at the Pro Football Network 7 round mock draft that just came out and they propose the Niners trade one of their remaining third round picks this coming year plus a 3rd rounder in 2025 for Justin Fields. Their logic is that Brock's turnover luck is running out and that he's hit his ceiling as a QB. Would you make this trade or something similar? My answer is a resounding NO. Fields is a phenomenal athlete, but not a proven winner at the NFL level. What do you think?

No. If they needed another QB to develop they would just draft one. There's plenty of good QB's to develop in this upcoming draft that I would use a 2nd and lower round pick on. My first QB I'd target who IMO could go in the 1st round is JJ McCarthy, if he falls, then I'd take him. Then I'd target Riley Leonard or Max Johnson in the 6th or 7th round.

What a bunch of geniuses lol. Their logic is based around turnovers eh? Fields has MORE interceptions than Brock and hasnt played in a month.

Agreed. Other mid round options could be Jordan Travis, Cam Ward or Michael Pratt. Would much rather take another young, CHEAP QB option in the draft rather than pay first round money on Fields.
There's a reason that Fields wasn't even in the discussion for the #3 pick. He didn't fit in Shanahan's offense then, he definitely doesn't now.
4th round pick. He can be our backup. Add in the read option and some running plays. He can also do the Tush Push for us.
once he got paid he just started not GAF.

A guy like that will only Kyler Murray you and be useless until contract year.
I demand that "f**k no" be an option.

What makes you think Fields is "a guy like that?"

His problem seems to be that he's mediocre at best. His Total QBR is sub-40. The dude is a sack machine. But that doesn't mean he has some character flaw. Some guys just don't have it.
Brock's "turnover luck" is running out. Well, his risky throws are based on some bad decisions - and he recognizes them every time. The guy is probably harder on himself for a bad play than anyone I've ever seen. And he makes those bad decisions, a pretty small percentage compared to the good dones he makes. So I'll take a QB who makes good decisions 90% of the time, over one that makes them 20%....
Ummm...HELL TO THE NAW-NAW!!!
Wait for the Bears to cut him and put him in the practice squad as a developmental player.
If they send us Fields and a 1st I'd consider giving them a 3rd.
5th rounder and coach him up
The strongest of no's. Jesus what a god awful idea.
