S, like DT (even ER), where you can find cheap, quality veterans just about any time of the year. This FO has done a really nice job bringing them in.

I really think nowadays safety starts to stand out as a position where you wanna have either elite (top 3 in the league) talent or just not waste draft/money and go with cheap vets. You either get a Hamilton or just sign a Gipson Mathieu or whatever vet who got something in the tank.

DT used to be like that too but slowly seems to be changing

Most definitely. With the cap, you can't go big at every position. So take advantage of the oversaturation.

Correct.

Came in to play slot when Ambry left late in the 4Q vs DET. This kept Lenoir outside at RCB. I wonder if this the best three CBs, or if the better trio is Mooney Lenior Ambry.

Ambry is cooked, so I wouldn't be shocked if they did swap them.

Ryan had an awesome rerouting of Amon-Ra St. Brown on that 4th down play. That Belichick coaching.
He is not just a backup safety, he has overtake Oliver as the backup nickel now.

Did we ever try Oliver outside? I thought he played there in Atlanta.

Ryan made a great play, getting into the backfield on that 3rd and goal on the running back, forcing Detroit to use that timeout. Ended the game basically.

I think we had Oliver playing safety for a serie, but not outside corner. I think Oliver struggled so badly playing outside corner so the Falcons convert him to Nickel, even though he doesn't have the quickness to cover typical quick slot receivers.
Ryan Logan looked better at corner than safety.

I wouldn't mind sticking Oliver on Kelce all game. He did well against Waller and he's good against TEs and bigger WRs. Just not your typical slot speedy receivers.

I don't think the Chiefs have any of those… lol maybe we should give him another shot.

You mean outside the building? Helping people find their seats and stuff? Could work.

Just awesome
Niners went out and got all this depth on the DL, but are paper thin in the secondary. Gregory nor Young have really helped much either.
